Yep, he is, regrettably ... the type of ignorant ridicule evidenced in this thread sets me off.

When you know what the crap a severe brain injury can do to both speech and every other area of life, get back with civilized folk, jackazz.

Go sleep it off, or not, who gives a crap ...

Not to make you sound stupid and ignorant, but if you have a brain injury that affects the way you think completely, you more than likely will type and speak incoherently.

Doesn't matter if he was talking or typing, it's all communication and it comes from the same area of the brain.

i know what a brain injury can do. I never discounted that and i applaud byrd for rehabbing well and hope to see him on the field soon. The point you arent getting is he would type the same way regardless of a head injury. Its hood or whatever you want to call it. Lafell types the same way.

You spent a decade or so in brain injury research, too?

As to Lafell and others, it is what it is for them and their generation and culture.

Why ridicule D-Byrd when you have no way of really knowing how much of his brain injury affects both speech and his overall communication.

Those of us who have worked in that field know just how it difficult recovery from these types of brain injuries can be. No matter how hard Demetrius works, he may never make a complete recovery. Though I certainly hope that he will, of course.

If he puts as much time and effort into his rehab as he does his spelling and grammar - he'll be running ridiculous patterns all over the place in no time.

FWIW - It's been my experience that most individuals who express themselves by writing "street" will tell you they could use proper spelling and sentence structure "if they wanted to"....

Well shite... I could build a car from scratch if I WANTED to.
