If Rattler shows tremendous potential and does well in next 2 or 3 games as the Starting QB… we may have found our future franchise QB with further improved development in this system. We Hope !!!!

This would save the Saints from spending several High Draft Draft Picks in the future trying to draft into a POSSIBLE Franchise QB ….. it’s high risk.

Let’s hope this man is the future….

Or the Saints rebuild will take more years than it will already require !!!!

I just wish we had a better Offensive Line to support him in these games !!!!

More importantly, his contract as well; would open up a window

You always have to hope you find a diamond in the rough like that; especially at QB

Sadly, they would still be strapped with Carr’s salary for most of Rattler’s rookie deal, Loomising

I think he has a no trade clause, and with the recent restructure we probably couldn't move him for a couple years anyway

If he’s not, Dennis Allen will finally be canned.

Long overdue

I am going to watch this game not expecting much... That's the safe way and if the kid lights it up the better...

Well we're not going to find out Sunday. He's going to look like a rookie. But maybe we'll see glimpses of potential greatness. Maybe even enough to win the game who knows

Carr’s deal doesn’t go away if he’s the backup

Assume Rattler is impressive and wins the next few games. Carr is now ready to return. Now what?

You keep playing the winner who is a decade younger.

True, but the two are not directly correlated. We can still lose even if he show promise. Hopefully you bring in an offensive guru, or promote Kubiak and bring in a top-notch QB coach.

If he looks like the future, it makes our HC job much more enticing.

Can he? Sure.

If not? Saints missed on a 5th round pick.

Over the cap shows a post June 1 cut has. 50 mill dollar cap savings for the saints. They will eat a ton of dead money but there is a way out. Rattler has all word potential but if I’m the Bucs I’m doing to him what the chiefs did to Carr all night. Blitz against this banged up oline. Not a great situation for the rookie or anyone for that matter

He will look like a rookie on Sunday. In fairness to him, I think any QB is going to not look good with half your O$ensive line and Hill in street clothes. If Rattler comes in with an intact line maybe things go differently.

It all depends how the team reacts. Meaning if they play hard or have quit. IMO, I honestly believe they won't play for Carr anymore
