If so, we could just move Ram to LT and draft a guard instead. We might be able to pick up a good guard in later rounds and use our first round pick to get a WR or TE instead of a tackle if we do this.

I think it's Calvin, and I don't think he can play T in the NFL. I don't think he has the kind of hips and footwork to slide like a T needs to

Landon Young will be our future RT.

I think it will be Young to RT and Ram to LT eventually.

I do think people are undervaluing Hurst and feel that he is very serviceable at LT and considering the contract is a great value.

Throckmorton is the shittiest guard in the NFL. He belongs on a practice squad.

Throckmorton wasn't even a decent Guard last year. He was actually worse than Ruiz.

So let me get this straight, cbree88...you think Winston is a horrible QB & you think Throckmorton is a good O-Lineman?

Is that what you really believe?

Throckmorton graded bottom 5 in pass and run blocking across the whole NFL. He’s in talks for the worst OL in the league

Greenidge, Young are backups. Hurst is the only other starting calibre tackle we have outside of Ram

It was more like Winston is an average QB and Throckmorton is serviceable at best but maybe he could fill in at RT temporarily.

Sounds like Throck graded out pretty poorly though last year.

I always thought Peat was a better LT than a LG and I wouldn't be shocked if they slide him over and pluged in a new G

LT is Peat's natural & best position

No it’s not. He played it at Stanford but his play drops off even more than when he’s inside at guard where his strength is his biggest asset. Peat is a swing tackle at best. Hurst is a better LT than Peat.

I’ve heard worse. But the Saints really should upgrade one of those tackle positions if they are going with Winston.

He switched over to LT in his rookie & 2nd year. He looked better at LT than LG to me in those games. He hasn't played LT since then, so maybe that isn't the case anymore.

That's all I know about the situation. It's also my opinion that he looked better at LT than LG, so you can feel free to disagree. It won't offend me.

Also, he switched over to RG & RT on a couple occasions & looked absolutely horrendous. The coaches figured out that he sucked arse on the right side of the line & he hasn't played there since.

I feel like a lot of people have assumed Ram will play LT but I’m pretty sure Underhill reported they’re keeping him on the right.
