Eh, he's pretty damn close to a top 10 wideout.
It'd be hard to name 10 better than him.

He's been relatively healthy recently. YOu're right though, he is a bit injury prone.

To bad they didn't get a deal done with Brees, ifa WR gets that kind of deal, how much more should a franchise QB get?

Calvin Johnson
Andre Johnson
Larry Pussygerald
Steve Smith
Wes Welker
Roddy White

Then you have a group of
Cruz
Bowe
Wallace
Marshall
Nicks
AJ Green

I would say are arguable... not sure where exactly i put Colston. Probably in the 9-13 range

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

You have to think that Colston understands that Brees made him and he wants to stay with that (we're all assuming that Brees will be in NOLA to stay). I don't see Meachum having the same success out West without Brees...and Rivers is REALLY going to miss V-Jax!

First three aren't debatable. Definitely better than Colston. Smith fell off then had a huge year last year, so I'm not sure how to judge that. Welker catches a lot of balls, but, IMO, it depends what kind of receiver you want whether you think Welker or Colston is better. I think White is very debatable. He is good, but he drops A LOT of passes.

I'd say these are comparable. Wallace is probably definitely better. I don't know if Nicks belongs on this list. AJ Green is damn good. Let's see if he can keep it up.

yeah he has had his issues. but I be god damned if he doesn't bounce back and heal up faster than anyone in the league. he broke his collarbone last season and only missed 2 games.

Lets play a "name those quarterbacks" game in '09 and '10 for Carolina.

Welker's far surpassed production is undeniable and inarguable. Different type of system yes... cough cough drew brees... cough colston. They all in systems... Welker's production is inarguable.

He does get targetted a lot. He's got more raw talent than colston for sure. I would allow a slight debate here. Not much though.

AJ Green was a rookie with a rookie qb, they are just getting started which is why i have him on here.

Not saying Welker's production is inarguable. I'm not even saying anything about the system. I'm just saying they are two very different receivers, so it's hard to say one is definitely better than the other. I love Welker, and I'd love him on my team. I just think Colston does certain things, like going over the middle and red zone catches, better.

Raw talent won't mean shite if you don't use it. I'd pick Colston over White any day. White is an idiot who thinks he's a lot better than he really is. He's good, no doubt, but he's not Megatron or anything.

This is why I'm not sure how to judge this. I'm curious to see if he puts up the same numbers or something similar with Cam again this year.

My buddy just said it was the richest in NFL history for anyone, not just WR. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I don't think it would be by year, but life of the contract it probably is. I don't recall anyone ever getting $132 mil contract.
