I'm pretty sure somebody is holding a gun to Hokie's head and making him broadcast.
There are a lot of miserable, pissed off, aggravating assholes on earth. We shouldn't have to hear one when we turn down the game, and turn up Saints radio.

WWL's guys suck most of the year, especially football offseason, but I think they're actually good during training camp. Yeah they have too many commercials but Deke isn't hosting by himself and they take less calls so he's not rude to anybody.
He's basically good for old stories but that's about it.

He never has an opinion. He never gives one, even though that's his job. He never has any insight into actual plays, formations, players, etc...even though that is his job. He doesn't appear to be do any research whatsoever. He's just really terrible, and its even more jarring when paired with the ultimate professional in Henderson.
He's basically good for old stories but that's about it.

Do you think your opinion on this subject might be SLIGHTLY biased?
I've given TBob props a bunch of times, and even Garic has gotten a lot better and is ok now. I actually prefer when Seth Dunlap is on, I think he is really good.

I'm actually even somewhat OK with Deke, even though I think he's too much of a dick sometimes.
But Bobby...ugh. Listening to him try to ask a question in an interview is probably like watching Michael J Fox frick. Eventually he'll get it all in, but its going to be all over the place and extremely awkward.

I find TBob highly entertaining. I liked the show in the morning because I could listen on my way to work and for first part of my day. Glad they got bumped up but now I never hear them because I am generally in bed for 10 and not listening to radio at home.

Different listening audience at night which has changed the way they approach the show now. It's been tempered down a bit but the interaction is much better

Somebody told me the other day that Bobby might die in the next decade or so, and that he's not always drunk. He's just brain dead from all the concussions.
I know he drinks a lot, but it made sense.
Deke is also having health issues.
I'd say enjoy these guys while we can, because there is a good chance we could wake up one day and they'll be gone. Wish the same could be said for Hokie.

I listened to about 2 and a half hours of it on my drive home from NOLA today and it's just awful. The actual sports talk was so minimal when you consider the ads, news breaks, traffic updates, and bs from those knuckleheads. Their on-air presence is just so bad too. I love the Point After shows during the season, but the regular daily sportstalk is unbearable.
I listened to about 2 and a half hours of it on my drive home from NOLA today and it's just awful. While some of Gus' bits may be tired they do have pretty coverage of all local sports and good unbiased saints coverage.
I get tired of WWL's appeal to unwashed masses and having to hear Bobby talk about winning the turn over battle.
