Payton has also made an offer to longtime Saints assistant Kevin Petry, who has served for six seasons as a valuable member of the team's football operations staff, sources said. Petry, a Covington native and LSU graduate, is believed to be weighing his options. Payton is also considering Declan Doyle for the Broncos' tight end coach position, according to a report by NFL insider Josina Anderson. Doyle has served as an offensive assistant for four seasons with the Saints.

I'm really not concerned with whomever Payton poached. We are stuck with Allen for the foreseeable future but all these "great coaches" Payton is poaching were on this staff last year with piss poor results. Maybe some were on staff with the piss poor playoff performances.

It's potential front office poaching that's the real concern.

Perfect job for Curry
Payton is the real playcaller but gives him the coordinator spot and the next hot name to eventually emerge for a head coaching job
No sense staying on the dysfunctional Saints staff

And we’ll get a 3rd round comp pick in 2024 for Curry.

Nope, SP got a view of Pete when he has no influence and did not like what he saw.

Just sucks that he can't poach Pete since it would be a lateral move.

Curry would have been a great call to promote to OC for the Saints but instead they keep Pete. Curry actually would have had his own design for the offense unlike Pete who is clutching onto Sean’s decade old playbook for dear life. Curry is an up and comer just like Declan Doyle and Streif. Payton could see it, Dennis not so much.

I knew he was going to poach our coaching staff. I am waiting for him to start poaching people from our front office such as Ireland and Pace . This looks like a sinking ship right now whereas Denver has a new beginning.
