Drew said that in response to Brady congratulating him.

Did he tip his hand into his mindset about continuing to play?

Well Brees has never indicated that he was thinking about hanging it up.

Recently the National Press has dreamed about the Winning the Super Bowl and Walking away moment.

Even if/when we do win I don't see that being the factor for Brees. At some point just about everyone in the HOF ends their career on a loss or down season.

Skip said the dumbest shite on TV. Saying it came off as spiteful and shite.

First of all these dudes personally know each other. Their families know each other , they are real life friends with each other.

I liked the tweet it was showing respect imo

If Brees keeps playing like this, I don’t care what his age is.

I don't see how anyone can see it differently. Only a moron could think it was disrespectful.

No he hasn't but he has stated that the end maybe sooner than most believe.

quote:

"Do I feel like I could play this game for a lot longer? Until I'm 45 and beyond? Yes I do, if that was truly what I wanted to do, I feel like I could do that, God willing, health wise and everything," Brees said. "But I'm telling you, I'll walk away from this game prior to that."

quote:

"When I do walk away it'll be because I want to spend more time with my family, because I'm ready for that next chapter, and I'll feel like I gave it everything I wanted to give it," Brees said.

"The season is a grind. Physically, mentally, and emotionally," Brees said. "To be fully invested in this requires a lot of time and a lot of energy. It obviously requires a lot of time away from the family as well."

quote:

"I don't know exactly when [retirement] will be yet, but what it has done is it made me value each and every day that much more," Brees said. "It's made me want to stay in the moment that much more because I just don't know when it will be over and I just want to maximize each and every second and enjoy each and every second because when I do walk away I don't want to say I wish I would have done things differently. I want to say, man I gave it everything I could and I'm just ready for the next chapter."

Brees can run this dink and dunk offense for another 3 years at this rate. All he needs is MT13, Kamara 100%, and a solid O-Line for all the years. Brees and Brady are not like any others in the past. I feel they could play to 45

There has been a concerted effort by the media to impugn, malign, and ridicule Drew Brees.

The true measure of the man (Drew Brees) is that he does not respond to any of the assine remarks.

The NFL and media narrative are in direct opposition to all of the NFL records held by Drew Brees.

The NFL and their assigns are in the business of marketing their chosen ones.

Drew Brees is that data point that unravels their theory.

Brees is the elephant in the room.

The NFL wants him to go away and he just will not go quietly into that good night.

Brees letting Brady know he's not retiring without the record.

Battle of wills to see who is forced to retire first...

It's actually Brees being kind, because he knows Brady ain't ever catching or passing him up. Skip should respect the humbleness of Brees.

He's putting the NFL and Rodger Goodell against the wall. Either they call off the dogs(refs) and clear the path for the Saints to rightfully win the Superbowl or he hangs it up when he's 55 and their Golden Boy Tom Brady never catches his records and the "Undisputed Greatest of All Time" with all his Super Bowls that his defense and historically weak division won him, will always be 2nd to the real GOAT.

Your move Roger.
