This loss wasn’t on Brees. It’s on play calling(CSP), defense inconsistency and penalties.

Completely abandoned the run. Also, on the Demario Davis hard count penalty. Rogers threw up his hands on the count. Brees is penalized numerous times over his hand motion. What fricking gives man

He didn’t have a single pass in which the ball traveled over 20 yards in the air. A great team would have the offense to overcome a bad defensive performance of need be.

If Brees can’t throw the ball more that 15yds-and everyone knows that he can’t-the Saints are going to lose a lot of games this year

Don’t play FF, so out of all the things that happen tonight you believe having a different QB In the game results in a W tonight?

Yeah I believe if we had Brees from 2 years ago (before the Falcons injury) we would’ve overcome the defense and won

He had plenty of zip tonight. He just looked scared to go downfield. I think he's lost his confidence.

Yeah, offense was terrible. Definitely Drew's fault.

If they tackled kamara on all those check downs the offense would have been pretty pedestrian. When Brees throws it more than 10 yards the receiver is making a diving catch. His inability to throw downfield is handcuffing the offense. Teams can just stack the box and as long as they tackle well they will shut down the offense.

This is something I did not think about. This offense can not overcome this horrible defense anymore. They can't keep up. There are too many explosive offenses in the NFL now. You can't play like the Saints are playing and win.

He did, but without the vertiucal passing game our margin for error is exactly zero. Can't give up all those penalties and lose the turnover battle and expect to beat a team like the Packers.

And because of this, defenders are squatting on the intermediate routes & making Brees have to check it down. Without the threat of going over the top ever, it just discombobulates other aspects of the passing game.

The TD to Sanders was a strike. He still throws with plenty of velocity on intermediate balls.

Can't win a playoff game the way Drew's playing.
Can't win 8 games the way the defense is playing.
If Alvin gets hurt, Lord help us.
Why does Taysom make so much?
