You realize why he would have his arm in a sling immediately right? What don't you get about that? Partial or not, you immobilize the arm when you have a significant investment.

does anyone remember a player in any sport getting a season ending injury mid game but still playing out the rest of the game? anyone?

No he would not. You are being extremely hard headed here. There's some good post in this thread concerning torn rotator cuff injuries & you are completely ignoring those facts. Again, a complete tear would cause the most pain & Brees would then have to have his arm immobilized. That's not the case if it is a partial tear. He could very easily have a partial tear & is weighing his option of surgery which would end his season or rehab which he could possibly be back in a few months at this point. You are talking nonsense man.

It's amazing. I've been burned dismissing rumors on here before, but if there were anything up with drew's shoulder it would be under 24/7 armed guard
If it is a season ending injury, he'd be in a sling. If it requires season ending surgery to prevent a full tear, it would be in a sling pre and post surgery

I feel like the answer is "most definitely" but I can't think of an example off the top of my head. I think maybe Elway did once in the early 90's. And didn't Bush finish that game at San Francisco in 2010 or something even though he was out for a great length of time after?

regardless of the validity of this rumor, i think drews cap hit next year is well over 25MM...and it cant be lowered except be extending him
