Young Brees would have made that throw accurately hitting Shaheed in stride for a TD. Young Brees made a lot of throws like that for TDs early on in his career when they had the NFLs most prolific offense.

No doubt about it. Brees was a great qb, although a bit of a bitch as we found out later in his career. But it was only the last few years of his career that he couldn’t really throw the ball well. People forget how good he really was 90% of his career. He was the most accurate qb in the league for a long time and could throw a beautiful deep ball. In fact he could make literally any throw.
