Not much of a Saints fan.. but I will say that the length of Payton's suspension is absolute bullshite.

Exactly. It was bad enough the Saints were doing what they were doing with the license of the coaching staff, even their encouragement. Then they were caught and told to stop. They didn't and kept dealing with what's his name. I'm not sure why there's surprise at this ruling.

They prolly would have done just a 1st Rd pick this year if we had one. A 2nd alone was considered not enough and a 2013 1st + #59 this yr would have been too much.
It will be interesting with the coaching if Spags or Vitt steps up. I can see a case for either. Last year's SP knee outage was truly a blessing in disguise. SP is vital and the master mad scientist but we do know Carmichael can call a helluva a game. It's an incredible opportunity for him to get in the serious part of HCing consideration.
It will be interesting to see when Loomis might have to do they 8 games. Good to know he can stick around to oversee the rest of free agency, draft, & Brees contract.
Overboard IMO but in the range of expectations. I heard one line this week about it being an inflection point of the NFL transitioning from being a barbaric game. I've mentioned before and hope the youngest ones able to comprehend this take note- Twenty years from now when they are are pulling a flag off the QB for it to be a tackle you can say I remember when all this started.

It's not to Saints fan based in reality
but people are fans in their own way
