Book has been playing football long enough to throw the ball away

Saints need to replace him immediately. If he can't throw the ball away by now, he needs to go.

well, he knew how to throw the ball away on 4th down

He threw the ball away on 4th down last drive

Absolutely ZERO situational awareness

He definitely should have thrown that away……but I’m not sure what the hell you dumbasses are expecting from a fricking rookie in his first start lol. This dude had NO REPS with anything even resembling the first team……..and he can’t even get to the top of his drop without MULTIPLE RUSHERS BEING ALL OVER HIM!
Sean may as well put subway turnstiles at the line of scrimmage…….they would probably do a better job of slowing down the rush.
Some of you jackasses need to actually learn something about the game

I'd like to see the bastard get to play a real game, not backyard toss to no open receivers while running for his life.
Though those two decisions add sting to the shite sandwich.

agree.
I'll go to bat for him up to a certain point.

I expect a rookie QB in Week 15 to have some football smarts and football awareness. Throw the ball away when you are 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage instead of running out of bounds or letting yourself get pushed out of bounds.
He has been running for his life. He should have known this would happen before the game started. He should have been prepared and know you have to throw the ball away sometimes, but NOT on 4th down. In that situation he should have at least one receiver deep so he can throw it up for grabs.

Holy shite……I LITERALLY SAID HE SHOULD HAVE THROWN THAT AWAY! He has NEVER HAD FIRST TEAM REPS……..anyone that is not a fricking retard should have expected a ROOKIE QB, in this situation to make mistakes like he did.
He couldn’t even get to the top of his fricking drop without having MULTIPLE RUSHERS in his fricking face. You saying that he should be “replaced immediately” and he sucks……..shows your complete lack of fricking knowledge of the game.
Make no mistake…..I’m not saying that he’s the QB of the future. It’s WAY TOO EARLY TO KNOW THAT……..especially when the only real game tape you have of him, is with O-lineman that look like fricking bullfighters getting out of the way lol
Where the hell do you guys come from?

He didn’t have a clue back there

Book is a dumb as a box of rocks. Thought Coach Genius said he was smart.

Dude single handedly lost me the semi finals in fantasy. My opponent had the Miami D and he needed 25 to win.

he can't throw the ball away
I admit this completely surprised me as well. He's started over 30 games as a starting QB in college for Notre Dame with over 1,000 pass attempts and yet he still played with the awareness of a high school QB not knowing when to throw the ball away. He ate at least 3, if not 4 sacks last night that he didn't need to simply because he didn't throw the ball away. Then when he finally did throw it away, it was on fricking 4th down.
All that said I did not expect him to do well last night. Zero practice time with the 1s, 3/5 of the starting OL out (I legit had to google who our RT was last night, #65 Caleb Benenoch) and several WRs and TEs out. Personally I'd play him the rest of the way, let him get some actual practice time and good game reps and use these next 2 games to see what he's got. I'm not even suggesting that he'd put himself in play for the starting gig next year, but we can at least see if he'd possibly be ready to take the #2 job and we wouldn't have to waste a roster spot on that next year

There was a play last night where he dropped back a LONG way... like 15 yards... and then decided to dump it off to a well-covered Kamara who was himelf like 10 yards in the backfield and was immediately dropped for a huge loss. We saw Brees throw that ball at the receivers' feet a thousand times over the years. Book should know to do that at this point in his career.
