Any events or ways for my son to be able to meet any of the players?

you can meet them when they return from training camp, they usually have some practices open to the public. that isn't until August though...

Make the team?

Best bet would be the open practices at TC, or stalk their social media sites to see where their next appearances will be (those typically pick up during the summer).

If your son wants to meet Mark Ingram he can meet him anywhere but in the end zone.

saints players go there? You'd think they'd want to go somewhere a female human being has ever stepped foot in.

Well, there are many opportunities. .. how much are you willing to spend?

They all do charitable events.. but it cost money...

They will make rare appearances in their home towns...

The summer practices on airline are your best and cheapest way..

You could always kidnap one... and who knows, if your kid has a great personality and no harm is done, it could turn into a crazy made-for-Disney movie..
