Pretty much. I want Goodell to show some semblance of equitable punishment. It would only be fair. But I don't expect that to happen. Goodell's punishment had nothing to do with being fair. It had to do with creating the image and impression of doing something about head trauma in the NFL.

And then the balls weren't as underinflated as they first reported.

This also falls under the everyone is doing it clause.

Last night it was reported on Around the Horn that the Colts had 4 balls checked, and 3 of those were underinflated.

Plus, there is documented evidence that A-Rod intentionally over-inflates his. Also, 2 teams (Carolina & someone) were caught using the sideline heaters to warm up their balls during a game.

I think it'll be a slap on the wrist to the org, Brady either gets 1 game or has a $50-100k fine, the 2 equipment managers are fired.

This is where the punishments can get out of hand. He has shown that he is easily manipulated by the media & public perception. If there are a lot of "burn them at the stakes" demands, I could see a more significant penalty to the team & Brady. I don't think they touch Bellicheck.

Kraft and Goodell are best buds. Because of this relationship, Goodell is not going to ever be heavy handed with the Pats, especially when they won the SB. It would devalue the title just won and the credibility the office of Commissioner should hold. Which we know is already questionable. Boston is a large market franchise and will get more top brass support from NFL than say a smaller market.

With all of the suspensions, loss of draft picks, and fines handed down to the Saints when there was no tangible proof of any wrong doings, and the fact the alleged wrong doings were only able to happen within a game with referees enforcing the rules, then the Patriots whom are repeat cheating offenders with tangible proof, more than deserve the exact same punishment that was handed to us

Be prepared to be pissed. The organization will probably be fined a million, and Brady will get some lenient 2 game suspension.

Conspiracy lol
yes, you're right...this has been years in the making...
Goodell and the NFL wants to destroy the Pats and shatter the moral high ground Brady stands on by faking text messages that prove he compensated equipment and locker room assistants in shoes, tickets, autographs, etc to deflate balls..
It's either that this is some massive conspiracy OR it really happened and they should just own up to it.
seems fairly obvious which one it is.

and you seem mad, not everyone else.

Pretty sure SMU fans are still pissed off about USCw and Miami not getting the death penalty. This is the Pats second go round with rule violations. We got hosed and made an example out of. Big Time! and there was no cheating on our part. The Pats have been caught cheating twice. That's more than once. It's blatant at this point that the 'punishment' they receive isn't a deterrent. It's only fair that they be made an example of too.

However, life isn't fair and nothing big will happen. They will lose a 2nd round compensatory pick and Tom Terriffic will be fined.

I went on a pretty epic rant about bountygate back in that season. I need to find that post.

I think Belichick was instrumental in this because he had running backs who kept fumbling and thought underinflated balls would allow less turnovers. Brady also benefitted but Bill is the instigator. Don't know the stats but I bet their turnover rate mysteriously improved.

There are reports out of a Miami newspaper that Brady could be suspended for the season.I think it could be 8 games which will be reduced to 4 to 6 games. The head coach also should sit out the games. Also next years 1st round pick in 2016---2nd round in 2017---3rd round in 2018.To me this would be fair the 3 picks spread over next three years an 6 game suspension for Brady an head coach. Also as stats showed Saints in Bounty gate total BS timeframe to be in the NFL s top 10% of cleaner hiting teams. Therefore these picks should be gave to the Saints who were scapegoated.
