This should be investigated for deliberate tanking. Don’t think he’s had a winning record in pros or college in a decade.

He did get Bears to a SB and did pretty good in Tampa but Texans ain’t trying to win away so didn’t matter who they hired

This is good for Texas. They are going to suck the next 2-3 years anyway. They wanted Luke McCown, but now can rebuild the roster with Lovie at the favor of the league and after 3 crappy records they can move on to the coach they want.

Amazing, bashing a coach that has lead a team to a super bowl while applauding the hire of a coach with a worse winning percentage.

To be fair, Smith had inherited a good Bears roster. But, after his SB season the team got progressively worse. Allen had walked into a dumpster fire with the Raiders, and was fired in two years when his best players were in their rookie season. DA will be fine as the Saints HC…not near the situation he was in last time. LS, however, is set up to fail.

How many coaches can you name that got head cuaching jobs in the nfl after having what, 5+ years of losing seasons as a college coach. I’m guessing not many.

When your entire org is freefallin you need any coach that first...Stops The Fall.
Lovie can begin to rebuild a solid foundation. I'm sure they hope similar to Mora for the Saints.
