He was the starter in the first preseason game and didn’t do shite with the 1’s. He got to practice with the 1’s everyday and couldn’t win the job. Better QB won the job, plain & simple.

Book was fricking terrible - he was literally as bad as the halfback the Broncos had to use at QB against us the year before.
I dont care how "unexpected" his start was - he had a full off-season, preseason and first half of the season. If you look that terrible in a home start with that much tutelage you're hopeless.

No but it wasn’t allowed till this past year and he was already 32 in KC. I remember Something about buying out backlog of jerseys if you switch numbers but I am not sure if they waived that when they changed this rule
