Any concern about defense?

We really got pushed around some today.

I think we saw, on both sides of the ball, a lot of player's who hadn't played much, if any, snaps together. Plus Marriota is like Hurts, running quarterback that gives us fits. That doesn't excuse poor tackling, but I'll give it a few games before I sound the alarm

I think it's hard to come to many conclusions after the first game. Good thing is we have a division win. Let's see if things improve next week.
Also I think Davenport has barely worked out or practiced this off-season. Will take a few weeks for him.

LB were struggling early which was disappointing but settled in a bit down the stretch

With the defense struggling for the first 4 games of the season for the past 4 years( seems like it at least), looks like they are right where they need to be

This defense will be historically good as the season plays out. Don't react too much to week 1

i personally think we played ok considering we never had the opportunity to blitz.

Huge concerns, but only one game. D line was supposedly healthy for the 1st time in ages and they looked bad. Outside lbs were no better, But the real weak spot was the O line - Peat and Ruiz are total crap. This is what happens when you miss out on so many 1st round picks: Peat, Ruiz and Turner (yeah, its early on Turner, but he just seems lost and always hurt). NC South will be weak this year, so the can win it with a mediocre team, bt the play of both lines today was disturbing.

Under DA the defense hasn't been very good the first 2-3 games. They'll settle in as the season goes on.

Mobile QBs have always given us problems. Also having Adebo out hurts. Next week will be a good opportunity to bounce back on D, Allen should dominate Brady as usual.

I think Atlanta came in coached with full intensity. They just played harder for most of the game.
Adebo is a huge missing peice on calling a defense trusting man to man.
Werner played hard. Davis is Davis.
Even when it looked like we weren't going to pull this game off, I was confident the defense will be better for the rest of the season
