NFL on CBS interview with Alonte Taylor. Some good tidbits in their about CKM’s personality. Said Staley will play more zone than DA did. Talks about how this is only his eighth year playing CB.

Saints should be trading talent for draft picks, so, I hope this kid does great for the Saints.

He is talent. On our roster. Selected well by us and playing well.
So now trade him for unknown rookie talent in the draft. To do what? Trade that talented pick for more pics? Do we then keep that talented player or do we also trade him for more pics lol

Good job Saints. Thanks for the info.
Saints are re building. I'm going to be very patient during this era of Saints history.

Yup.
I haven't been this relaxed about a upcoming season since 2010 lol
Oh and the food will be even better this year with more attention paid to it!

And I would like to tip my cap and applaud ALL Saints season ticket holders.

Usually they are on the contract year

He's one of our building blocks going forward. If healthy, he should be a really good corner for the next 5 years.

Correct. Will be interesting to see if Loomis can get Taylor to sign that 2nd contract.
I’d cut Taysom soon to front load Taylor as part of extension. It will be telling if by game 10 Taylor hasn’t agreed to 26 and beyond. It means he wants out.

Just like the 70's New Orleans Saints.
fwiw, you can expect the same results.

Have you seen our draft picks lately?
Miller, Fosky, Turner etc.
Even this year they reached badly in the 2nd and third

It’s so bad how you think you are all knowing on the draft value of selections

I wouldn't read into that. Outside of bye weeks, most teams avoid extensions or new contracts in the middle of the season. And Saints seldomly do anything during the season, even bye weeks.

No one knows how certain players develop, but I was pretty adamant about Branch and Achane being much better than who we took a couple years ago and caught hell for it on here. We all now know the results how that turned out. I trust what I see more than our scouts. I liked our draft other than the two reaches in the 2nd and 3rd.
Last year I said I wanted Bowers or Brian Thomas. Bowers is probably the best in the league now and Thomas is already a top 10 receiver.
So I guess we will see after this year who was right once again.

Oh my god. This has nothing to do with Tyler shough and the importance and value of starting qb’s and taking chances on it in the draft.

I hope Shough turns out good. I just put a higher value on having a better surrounding team with a young qb than the other way around. They have a higher chance of succeeding.
The Saints roster isn’t currently constructed for that. A rookie qb next year with better talent and our young tackles being more experienced woukd have been more ideal to me.
I hope Shough turns into Montana, But I’m not drafting a 26 old qb that has been injury prone that high. Not with upper tier talent still on the board. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe I’m right. Guess we will see.

Are you still crying about your mock draft
Posted on 7/22/25 at 7:53 pm to Townedrunkard
Shough has a great o line and wr’s 3 deep w some legit rb’s and taysom w couple other te options. It ain’t a stank offense.
