All Class by Brees and Sean Payton on Social Media after the game today OR not?

You think Sean or Drew could throw out a “Congrats to Dennis Allen for W #1” or some kind words for “Mike Thomas’ 2 TD comeback performance”?
Well, neither of them said a word. Not even a “cheesy” manufactured endorsement ad post from Brees with some comment about the Falcons.
My wish is that in just 18 months from now, Jameis has led the Saints to “Back to Back” Super Bowl victories and dethroned Drew Brees as the greatest Saint player of all time and Dennis Allen becomes the greatest Saint Head Coach of all time.
Jameis seems 100x more genuine than Drew ended up being.

Did you see the last thread about Sean Payton? He made some general comments about we reffering to the team last year and some posters lost their shite. People are going to bitch if they comment or not.
I actually fully agree with your last comment though. Brees has always given me fake anchorman vibes.

Speaking of which i found this little bit on Nola.com
During NFL Fox Sunday ahead of the Saints-Falcons season opener, Payton didn't shy away from taking another shot at the Falcons.
"I hate to say it, but it’s not a rivalry anymore," Payton said. "It ended 16 years ago."

Good gosh man.
I actually like Jameis, but I am so sick of the shitting on Drew Brees around here. He was great to this team and city.

People remember you more for shitting on veterans and your morals more than they do some touchdown passes.

I completely disagree with Drew backing down and bending the knee to the mob. I defintely lost respect for him when he did that. That said, it's not going to undo all of the works that he did for the area before or since.
Regarding Sean, he's already preparing himself to be the next Cowboys coach. The Saints and New Orleans are slowly disappearing in his rearview mirror.

If only people realize how stupid they look when they make posts like this.

Imagine being a saints fan and hating the greatest player in saints history this much… I mean dude is literally a top 5 QB all time when you look at statistics… it’s sad and pathetic to see this much hate for someone who’s done so much for the team, city, and state of LA.
Drew’s last year he donated 10 million dollars of his salary to help the state of Louisiana. He donated 5 million for communities in need of meal support and food services. He donated another 5 million to build numerous healthcare centers throughout Louisiana…
Please tell me what other saints players have or will be donating 10 million to help the state of Louisiana…
What I’m saying is I think Drew was genuine with how he cared for Saints, it’s fans, and just the state of LA.

The city and the fans didnt do anything but bitch about Brees anyway. I thought y’all hated him now?
Why should Brees feel obligated to have to do that for a place that does not respect him one bit anymore?

It's times like these that make me wish you could give more than one downvote at a time

Maybe neither of them is even thinking about football given all the years they both spent in it.

Dude, your a grown man obsessing about social media. That’s weak.
Posted on 9/12/22 at 7:07 am to UncleLester
Why would they post it on social media when they can just call or text him. What a stupid post.

and yet, had they done it in social media, people would criticize them for making it all about themselves and "look at me moments".

Dennis Allen and Jameis Winston are currently living in their predecessors' shadows. Brees or Payton chiming in on anything the team does just makes those shadows longer.

Drew is a greedy hack who would do anything to advance his brand.....anybody who still buys his nice guy act is a complete fool.

Where do you people come from?
Drew has always come across as genuine and thoughtful.
Why has shitting on Drew Brees become such a thing? Is it because you guys think he took a political position you don't like or because you thought he caved when he tried to account for some of his teammates concerns?
I don't understand modern football fans.
