Sean was very complimentary of Dennis Allen and the Saints on the pregame show. We all know that Drew loves the Saints. What the frick are you complaining about?

He just doesnt come across as genuine and his whole personality feels PR driven to me.
This has nothing to do with the whole anthem thing either as i just dont care either way. I just find everything he says to be scripted. Kind of like Russel Wilson.
You can appreciate him and still find flaws as well.

It’s tribalism where they believe that if somebody doesn’t agree 100% with them then they are immediately a terrible human. It’s such a weird place america is in with this type of nonsense but it’s just getting worse. The spilling into sports is frustrating as it’s usually a place to get away from that type of stuff.

There is no reason at all for any saints fan or human from Louisiana to ever hate on Drew. One of the most positive influences on our state in several ways… ever.
Sean Payton on the other hand, positive impact as well, but tried playing us multiple times, threatening to leave us and than scheming to leave us finally, as every star we’ve ever had has…. other than Drew.

I think people forget that the Saints were Drew's employer. If I retired and my old job landed some big client I wouldn't call them and congratulate them. How we view the NFL and our teams are very different from how the players and coaches view their employers.

The reason fans feel the way they do is their passion for the team and feeling screwed for a couple seasons when he knew he couldn't play to his level. Also most don't agree, but people don't like that he is made out to be a choir boy but when he decided to kneel, as much as he says "for my teammates" it was for the 10 million from NBC.
