If one of them MUST be included in the trade...which one would you rather include?

Adebo: Under a rookie contract longer, plays a much more important position at boundary outside CB, was absolutely awesome as a rookie for large parts of the season. However, has an easy replacement in Roby already on the roster under contract for awhile.

Ceedy: some would argue one of the hearts and souls of the defense, is extremely tough and hardnosed, defense suffered more than people expected when he was out. Will be up for a contract sooner rather than later and will likely get a relatively nice contract for a Nickel CB.

Don’t care, Watson trumps either of them by a factor of a hundred.

Cool, the point of the thread is you have to pick one.

Let's say the Texans leave it up to us. What's your answer.

As much as I hate to say it, Ceedy, as he needs a new contract. Adebo has shown to be a good player, at a premium position, on a 3rd round rookie deal. These are the guys you need on your roster if we get Watson.

Head says Keep Adebo. Heart says keep Ceedy.

There are few players I’d be more upset to lose than Ceedy just based on how much fun he is to watch and entertainment value. But I trust DA.

In that case I’d keep Adebo

Ceedy. Adebo has much more upside at this point as a player. The contract situation is much more favorable with Adebo as well.

Keep Adebo. Roby & PJ Williams have both played in the slot over the careers. You lose a lot of the mental game and physicality; but it's not like we'll be running out the shite that we had before CeeDee arrived.

Adebo 100%. People hype Adebo. But that dude was a clear liability in that secondary. He gave up some critical plays.

The most obvious way to ease the sting of losing Ceedy is to sign Honey Badger for a similar role.

I wanted Ceedy more than anybody after watching him almost single handidly beat LSU. He was all over the field that day. But This is the correct answer.
Would think Adebo will only get better. And we will need good cheap labor with our cap situation and someone will pay Ceedy over 10 mill a year soon….

Ceedy. Roby was re-signed and he can fill that role. Adebo is way more crucial to keeping the outsides locked. Rookie ascending player.

I may be in the minority, but the Saints have proven they can find a number 2 CB. A guy like Ceedy brings his play on the field and a ton of intangibles that are hard to find. He’s basically TM7 on a rookie deal.

For 1 more year. Where as, Adebo is on a rookie deal for another 3 years

Tough choice. Adebo on a cheap rookie salary or CJGJ that's about to get a substantial raise because he's becoming a star. I guess Adebo because we need as much cap space as possible. But I absolutely wish we could keep both.

Yet as a rookie, Adebo was responsible for a better completion % against, on higher volume, against better WRs. Same amount of INT
