I’d do any of them but the Texans is what I’d prefer. The cards isn’t as exciting but the year after it would be.

I'd take the Cardinals offer and it isn't even particularly close. The Broncos would give us #29 and a 2nd next year, or we can take #34 and a 1st next year. The Cards are much more likely to have another bad season than the Broncos are - Murray will miss at least half the season; Denver's defense is very very good and Sean will have the offense in great shape year 1.

#12 doesn't get us a QB and no thanks on the 4ths.

Why dont the cardinals send 1.3 this year? Keep all this other shite.

Number 3 for payton is more than fair for a team not in need of a franchise qb

Honestly, id almost rather give up 1 high pick than a bunch of others.

Florio says theses 3 teams are "well aware" of what it would take ans arent flinching.

quote:

That’s the word from Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis, who said today that those three teams are the only ones that have sought permission to speak to Payton, and all three were given that permission only after the Saints made clear that they’re not giving Payton away.

Maybe this will shut people up about "giving him away"

When Dennis Allen crashes and burns next year, saints might have a top 5 and cards top 15 first round pick to pair as bait for their next coach.

Add a 2025 2nd to all of those packages and it is a good trade offer.

I'm certainly pulling for a Seattle win tomorrow. I'm also pulling for jaguars and bucs to hopefully get 2 more teams involved

I’d jump on the Arizona one before any of them. Texans one would also be ok.

They always have real good talent at the top of the 2nd and we will have two firsts in ‘24 to secure one of the QBs.

Yeah but we being “aware” could mean all kinds of different compensation.

I still say the interesting part in this is Sean still has to show an interest in going there.

It isn't like a player without a no trade clause that we can send to anyone for the highest price.

Arizona could offer us the #3 pick overall if Sean doesn't want Arizona then what do you do? We cannot make him sign a contract there.

This everyday of the week:
34th overall is near-equivalent to a late 1st
2024 1st has potential to be an early 1st (similar to us -> Philly) if injury is real.

That’s true

Supposedly he has a good relationship w Arizona’s owner and thinks relatively highly of Kyler though.

I just don’t think we get pick 3, unless we are sending some solid draft capital back as well in the deal.

Ah yeah. And the Allen crash and burn is inevitable.
