That's at least noteworthy, I think

Texans
Giants
Jets

All have 2 picks in the 1st 13 spots

Hmmm, good call out. You figure they won’t take 2 of the same position. That helps or hurts the Saints depending on your perspective.

All of those teams likely are trade down teams as well.

I am only pointing it out, because I thought it was unusual

Right - if I had to guess:

Texans - DE/CB, WR/OL
Giants - OL, Trade Down (for DE)
Jets - CB, OL or WR

Seems like they all have the same needs as us

Same damn teams in the top 5 every year. Jags, Giants and Jets should have a damn all star team by now.

The great Mickey Loomis has standing trade agreements that are bookmarked and about 67% fleshed out with 2 of these 3 teams for their 2nd pick if they're not in love with what's there and we are

I'm not convinced it will change the Giants calculus too much - they basically didn't want to get in a Sam Darnold situation where the Panthers extended him before he played a game, and now they are stuck with his contract this year and can't move him.

They can still tag Jones next year or give him an extension later if he improves.

Not a FA yet, still under contract through 2022. Saints would either have to trade for him now, or wait until he's a FA next year.

Takes two to tango. I think there are several teams in the top 10 that would like to trade down, don't see many teams looking to trade up though given weak QB class.

I can't believe Daniel Jones has already been in NY that long. It seems like only yesterday when everybody was all like "WTF?" when the Giants took him in the first round.

Daniel Jones kept us out of the playoffs last year.
