Justin Fields 2.0. No thanks.

I think a better comparison - build, running & throwing - is Lamar Jackson. JD glides just like him, and at this point in his career (as compared to Lamar coming out of LOU) is already ahead as a passer. Will be interesting to see how JD does in the passing workouts/pro day events. Put on a clinic, and he'll likely go top 5-10.

If LSU QB Jayden Daniels was still on the board when we pick, would you draft him?

He will be far gone by the time the Saints pick. The Saints will win enough games to not be in that race.

That's a bold prediction.

I'd think about it, but the team won't, so it doesn't matter. They are locked into having to pay Carr and have other needs.

If we take a qb in first round, that means this team has no faith in carr who was a DA pick. I assume that entire staff will be gone.

downvote away, but Daniels will be one of the many great college QBs to not make it in the NFL. I hope I am wrong, because he's a stand up guy that deserves success.

There is not a single thing they have in common.

I thought Lamar Jackson would flop. But they were patient with him and made the offence around him. I think JD will need the same.

daniels would be nice pick, but i'm not sure who retires after this year. what if jordan and davis retire? what about our oline? what if we had cooper dejean at fs instead of maye?

we're going to have to restructure carr's contract to get under the cap. he's gonna be here for more than two years, or at least we'll still be paying him if he's not.

If the Saints are able to take Jayden Daniels, they better draft him. Let him sit the bench and take over in year 2.

I wouldn't mind if they spent the entire draft chest on lineman

because payton was an idiot and he said publicly that we would draft maholmes. only idiots publicaly announce their draft intentions before the draft

remember mike ditka saying he would give all his entire draft for williams, and after he said that, no teams would take anything less than his entire draft for wiliams, imagine that

with Saints luck, some team like the Falcons will trade back in the first round right in front of NO

It's more likely the Saints will trade up to draft an unknown prospect from a Division III school.
