He's an entitled fat-frick with a "woe is me" mentality

Trade his arse

That’s likely what this is all about.

This guy watched Ben Simmons get absolutely shredded for using mental health as an excuse and still went and did the same thing. If that doesn’t tell you just how obtuse he is then nothing will.

Huh? There’s been nothing to indicate either side is pushing for a trade.

Doesn’t make him a piece of shite. Might make him a bit mentally weak. Delays to the court due to not trusting your body after an injury aren’t necessarily uncommon.

Also. I do think it’s funny that everyone has decided to take everything that he said at face value today, when it was pretty obvious he held back on the truth several times.

This was essentially a Griff presser just given by Zion. They decided to go this route instead of saying “Well, Zion’s contract has a playing weight and body percentage clause of 295 or below and currently he is at 317.”

They thought this approach would be better and they obviously miscalculated.

He doesn’t have to say anything. Sitting on a bench and refusing to play is a pretty strong indication that he doesn’t want to be here.

LOL
when I was 22 I was bartending 5 nights a week and selling beepers and car phones to drug dealers on straight commission for radiofone. Living dollar to dollar and rummaging thru the dirty clothes pile for something to wear

dude has every conceivable resource this planet has to offer to him, served up at his whim.

if he needs help all he has to do is ask for it

Sure if you’re talking about a completely healthy and in shape player.

Had. Unfortunately, none of the greats were THIS unreliable. The closest comparison is Steph, but Steph never gave off these kinds of red flags

At least some of that is on him at this point.

Might be alone in this, but Zion leaving our Pels would be a death blow to my fandom. Akin to the no call in the NFC championship a few years back. I still remember how stoked I was when we won the lottery, running down the stairs yelling when I saw the Grizzlies pop up at 2. Being a Pelicans fan is like heart break after heart break and Im not getting hurt again if Zion ends up elsewhere

We've been here before. The ups and downs of fandom.

Being a Pelicans fan for the last 2 decades has been us miraculously acquiring a superstar only for that superstar to let us down at every turn and then leave before accomplishing anything with us. BI could be the only exception but I’m not getting my hopes up again

You're right in that he still 100% acts like a child, the way he speaks, his mannerisms, the way he is coddled, etc.

But it's fricking ridiculous that we're still acting like he's a kid. He's 22 years old and has been in the NBA for 4 seasons. He's an adult who still thinks he is a kid and we have a bunch of adults in the front office still treating him like he's a kid and it is handcuffing the frick out of the franchise.

Honestly, that press conference should be a wake-up call to the front office. It's time to either get very real with Zion or start working on moving him. The circus is going to get old for the other guys in the locker room.
