I’d still like to see him at 265, just too much torque with his play style.

Last offseason 265 is the target weight his chef had for him, so that’s probably around where he was playing last season.

Him saying he needs to focus more on stretching is a huge step, we all remember the Slam interview where he and BI were clowning CJ for stretching before games. This hamstring must’ve shown him it’s needed.

Listening to it now, Zion talked about putting older guys around him that’s giving great advice. I assume this is CJ,Larry and Temple.

Then he said he much rathers people be brutally honest with him rather than sugarcoating it. Seems CJ is getting through to him.

I don’t want to get my hopes up too much but it really seems like Zions approach and mentality is finally getting there. This could be a special season.

I think the biggest thing with Zion has been that he’s always gotten by just doing the absolute minimum and being a total freak of an athlete.

He’s had two freak injuries with the meniscus and the broken foot that can be brushed off as shite happens. The hamstring strain is what i think may have woken him up and making him say “Oh shite, I actually do have to put in work year around if I’m going to be the level of player I want to be”.

If CJ, Nance and Temple truly are getting through to him, Griff hit it out if the park with those two trades.

I don’t care what he does, as long as he stays on the court

He sounded like someone who is starting to turn a corner, not someone who has turned the corner yet. And all of the seeking out wisdom stuff sounds like something motivated by becoming a father.

That makes me have hope that the maturing is coming, but he still has to put the work in and some of his answers made it seem like he only has half a foot in on changing. While it's great to hear about the commitment to stretching, side stepping the diet and cardio question was not a great way to answer that question.

Here's a clip with just the Zion part LINK

You shouldn't. People say things and then don't do them.

Let's believe it when we see it on the court.

It is odd. It should be straight up. He's talking to 3 former pros and a current one that he is very similar to body wise. They are all trying to dig down and he got shy, kept saying he just wants to hoop.

The Lebron stuff is weird cause James is fanatical about fitness and constantly posts himself in the gym. He is insanely fit, especially for a guy in his late 30s. That kind of transparency is not rare. But Zions PR team never show any of that. His social media is sparse. It's a wasted opportunity.

I legit think there is something more going on physically. There is a disorder or something holding him back. I listened to a podcast with Reddick and Windhorst. Windhorst stated that Zions contract is not as guaranteed as I thought. This is a huge year for him..

Some people just have an addiction to certain types of food and simply do not want to break that.

I think that's the case with Zion. He is not the mentally strongest guy and certain foods make him feel good, make him feel comfortable, whatever the case may be.

He clearly wants to try and get in good shape but not give up his comfort foods.

Doesn’t lebron do more stretching and flexibility because he’s almost 40 years old lol

Zion is clueless

Lebron has the most expensive and extensive health regimen of anyone in the entire league, by most accounts

if he is following that blueprint that is a very good thing

When was LeBron running around in loose clothes looking like a big arse fat slob?
Believe it when he gets on the court for 70 regular season games and the playoffs.
For hundreds of millions, all of us would say BS was necessary to keep the heat off and the $ following.

You think stretching wouldn't help younger players

Note who you replied to, consider his ratio of negative posts, which is probably close to 100%.
