And what does Zion do for them? No one is lining up to do marketing deals for a part time basketball player. He’s not getting another max contract in his career. He’s more headaches for them at this point
Look yes Im pissed at Zion too. But again agencies don’t drop players unless they commit some “horrific” crime. You think its a good look to drop Zion because hes getting injured? That looks poorly on them. This is all Zion.

You and I both know this goes beyond "getting injured." Everyone in and around the league knows he's a manchild who refuses to do the littlest of things necessary to play in the NBA. He is not fat because he's injured. He is injured because he's fat.

Professional athlete agencies do not drop players if they’re immature. Look Zion has all these issues I agree with you but agencies don’t drop players after they get arrested for sometimes serious criminal issues. You really think because he doesn’t do the little things- thats why CAA dropped him?
Reality is Zion is losing money because he signed that contract with weight and games played clauses. Hes pissed and blamed CAA. Fault is on Zion but as usual he blamed his agency.

It happens but it is rare. Like antonio brown.
Hassan Reddick just got dropped by caa in the nfl.
I guess thus has to do with his contract. Maybe Zions camp was pissed about the contract and they had a mutual split. It probably was zion dropping can. I'm sure more will come out by Monday.

I don't think they called him up and dropped him, no. I think his camp got pissy about him losing literal millions in guarantees and are blaming CAA, not realizing how generous the deal really was for Zion. I'm sure CAA has been doing damage control for Zion for years, so he's a difficult client with rapidly decreasing value. At some point, the juice is no longer worth the squeeze. If they threatened to leave CAA, they were likely offered best wishes in return.
CAA absolutely has enough clients to move on from one of their worst.
If we aren't triggering the fatty clause, he's being paid $250k for every game this team loses without him there supporting them.

Yeah I could see this happening.

I know a guy (major a-hole) who has been tolerated at his company for years. HR got another complaint from a connected employee, so he was called into the big office. Dude showed up and tried to big dick the bosses and basically said, "I don't have to deal with this shite. If you want me to quit, I'll do it." They handed him a prepared resignation letter on the spot. I know for a fact that they had no intention to fire him that day, but they were prepared for the potential outcomes. When he gave them a cure for their own headache, they happily accepted.

You know Zion leaving CAA could actually be for the best. Imagine he signs with another agency and they request a trade. Meaning Griff will have no choice but to trade him- even if he doesn’t want to. Zion gets traded, Griff gets fired for losing Zion and Willie is gone. I have a gut feeling a trade request could be coming. Unlike the AD trade- I for one would love this trade request so we can move on not just from Zion but from Griff and Willie too.

I would represent Zion. We would then go after the subway deal. Zion would drop 30 lbs on subway sammiches.
Yeah for real, we need to replenish the organization with people who can’t wait to touch the floor. The thrill is gone.

Zion makes 448K a game, whether he plays or not.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Don’t know who this is or how true it is, if so it’s damning

Bridges and Robinson for Zion if we doing any deal with them.
Josh is to salty about Pels being the only team that wanted to give him a contract when he was a FA apparently

Good. This signals the beginning of the end here. Griffin finally got the push that was needed to start exploring trade options. It's time for both sides to move on.

Best Zion news all season

This has been rumored since he entered the league. Why is media acting like new info

Because it seems like this rumor is coming from his former agency and the reason for why they parted ways. Thats pretty big news and leads a lot more credibility to the Zion never wanted to be here rumors and was enamored with New York. Many before thought the Knicks rumors were fueled from the Knicks or Stephen A. This gives more credibility to the fact that it came from Zion and his camp.

I'd semi give him what he wants.. trade him to Brooklyn. The Nets potentially have 4 1sts in this coming draft (Bucks, Theirs, Knicks and Houston). I'd take two picks (Bucks and Theirs) and contacts to match. I'd love DFS and Cam Johnson. I would do Simmons instead, if they gave up more draft capital..

You take Simmons to clear cap space for a full tear down for the next GM and coach.
