Look. I want to preface this by saying nobody knows what happened with the injury but that is only in God’s control and is just really unfortunate. But it is NOT his fault. This motherfricker showed up in the biggest game of his life and absolutely put the Pels on his back and dropped a 40 burger. I think it goes without saying if he doesn’t have to leave the game we win. He played with energy, effort, was aggressive, talking shite.. all the intangibles we’ve been wanting to see from him were there and he was CLEARLY the best player on the floor in a game with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. For all the shite that everyone has given him, he has responded, got in shape, played the most games of his career, and continued to add to his game. I’m still optimistic about his health, maybe the MRI comes back with good news and we see him again.

He was amazing. We win if he stays in. Oh well!

This game (until the injury) and the PHX game last week is the best he's ever looked in a Pels uniform.

Unstoppable on offense in crunch time and engaged on the glass and on defense.

Really fricking sucks how it ended today.

The suns game and this game are the best he’s ever looked.
He looked like a top 5 player in the league and an mvp candidate.

This sucks.

Add Jose to this.

Those two dudes are the reason this game was close

He just can't stay healthy at this weight. Too much force on his joints and bones to play consistently.

I was fortunate to go tonight, and this was far and away the best I’ve ever seen Zion play in person.

But this is absurd. Zion should get appreciation when he shows up in shape and ready to play game 1 of a season.

His inability to manage his condition in the offseason is why we aren’t the 5 seed.

All losses matter. There is no margin of error in the west. And fat Zion and the need to manage his load early in the season has cost this team dearly this season.

There is a lot of merit to this.

Yep

Probably not the best timing, and Zion obviously deserves props for tonight.

But we're not playing tonight if Zion was just a professional and showed up game #1 like he did later in the season.

It’s just very frustrating because healthy and engaged Zion is something BI and CJ are not - a true difference maker.

Zion can be the best player on the court no matter who else is out there. In a game with Lebron and AD, he was the best player.

And yet here we are in year whatever it is still unsure of he can be the guy because he hasn’t yet fully committed himself to the demands of an 82 game season.

This thread went sideways, as fully expected. But yes, Zion was an absolute beast and was the best player on the court tonight. That is saying something with LeBron James and AD out there. He was the best the other day against the Suns also, with KD and Booker. He is really establishing himself as a top tier player in the league.

He is and that's great, but there is also enough precedent to be worried about the shape he comes in next season if this injury is anything serious, and that's not great. He will never truly be a top player in the league until he can prove that he can enter a season in shape.

Anyone showing hate to Zion is the biggest idiot on the planet. That's a fact not an opinion. He's the only reason we have any relevance at all.

Thanks, Zion for being one of the most entertaining basketball players I have ever seen. You could have been one of the best ever. But you just can't stay healthy. It's not all your fault. Maybe your body will grow into it but as of yet, it has not happened. Hopefully, you will not be out long and can start 1st game of this playoffs. but there is going to be a breaking point at some time.

This thread is ignoring the disappearing act he did in the actual biggest game of the season. The Lakers loss before this one.

Sure, he played great last night, but played like a bitch when it really mattered
