that's all true
again
Hibbert or Gordon if giving the choice?
There are 20 Gordon's in the league. While HIbbert is overpaid and overrated, he fills a need, is still young, and is at least a fairly skilled 7'2" 280 lb center.
You have a track record of 3 past seasons of 13/8/2 from Hibbert. You don't judge a guy on a 40 game stretch when you know what he is actually capable of.

yep, I thought he was just having a bad series too until I checked his season stats last week.

So $14M is definitely the going rate for Centers but it looks like he is one the least bang for buck players on the list.

I'd still take him over Gordon

Wouldn't even hesitate for a second to trade Gordon straight up for Hibbert. That would be monumental for our team, purely from a roster needs perspective. I don't give two shits about his playoff stats, let him play next to AD and then show me his stats.

As bad as hibbert is right now, he is still better than any of our current centers. So I would take him, but he is far from my first choice

I want him now more than ever since his price should be at an all-time low...

Not many teams get thier first choice of any player. Except Miami.
He shouldnt be far down the list though. He's in the upper tier of centers currently in the league. I agree there are better, but there really aren't any Shaqs, David Robinsons or Olijawans that are dominate. The rules just don't allow for that anymore.

Those numbers are terrible...wow

Anyone who wouldn't trade Gordon for Hibbert is a lunatic.
I'd trade Gordon for a ham sandwich.

Definitely still take Hibbert. He's getting taken advantage of in the East because of the small ball lineups making him ineffective a la Atlanta or Miami. That's not the case in the West at all.
Dwight Howard/Asik
Perkins/Ibaka
Gasol/Randolph
Griffin/Jordan
Aldridge/Lopez
Nowitzki/Dalembert
Duncan/Splitter
Lee/Bogut
Love/Pekovic
Moral of the story: it takes two to make a thing go right (rip DJ E-Z rock). Pels only have one. Hibbert + Davis = GOAT

Hibbert and Davis? That's a pretty tough duo. I like it
Posted on 4/30/14 at 9:19 pm to GynoSandberg
Get out of here with that shite gyno.
The hawks playing small ball made hibbert have LESS THAN 1 (!!) Per for 5 games?
No, he's not an elite center and certainly not worth 14m

I said he was on the floor less. 8 minutes less per game compared to the regular season. Never said he had a good series.
You think you get to pick and choose when a player is elite?
Hibbert had a 21.2 PER through 19 playoff games last season. What do we say about that?
People were talking about him as DPOY in January LINK
A bad stretch doesn't define a player. Take that overreacting shite to the MSB when guys like Marc Gasol becomes the best player in the league after a good game or James Harden sucks after a bad game.

I don't think there are any "elite centers".
The rules have changed, so I'm not sure you will have an "elite defensive center" anymore.
I think the best you can expect now is a center who gets rebounds, can take on the occasional double team, can shoot from 5' in and pass.
Without doing a ton of research, I'd probably guess that Noah and M. Gasol are the most "elite centers" right now.

How epic would a 0/0/0/0 and 6 fouls game be?
For real though, how are you that big and not capable of at least 5 rebounds every game?
