Yeah that's a pretty bad exaggeration.

If you didn't appreciate cj when he was playing lights out with our legit top nba player and can't equate his poor play to injury with far fewer open looks then you're just a lost cause at this point.

Y’all mad at the wrong one. Zion is the reason this team is losing. It was built around him and he’s been absent for far too long.

That’s the percentage of down votes I got when I made the thread saying we should trade him for Spider in the off-season. And I actually like CJ.

Wonder how everyone feels now….

Probably would shine more as the 3rd option as he was meant to be…but unfortunately we never get to see him in that roll.

Cj as that 3rd guy will be fine. If this team ever gets healthy at the same time all of this will be moot.

My personal, subjective opinion is, I just don't think he is all that good, healthy or unhealthy. Is that ok?

How is he not that good healthy?

Yes, injured cj is not nearly as good as Donovan Mitchell and trading what Cleveland gave up was totally in the realm of possibility to us.

Stick to the dumb saints talk takes bro

If he’s healthy, he’s the third best player on the team. The dude is out there playing with one hand and y’all are shitting on him.

It seems people have wiped their memories of his play before he hurt his hand. Wasn’t he shooting close to 50% from 3 for a significant part of that stretch?

Everyone believed in CJ when he went on that 30 game run averaging 25 pts, 4 rbs, and 6 asts on crazy efficient scoring.

This team definitely has its issues, but this thread is either nothing more than recency bias or people who were never CJ's biggest fans going "see!!"

That’s the thing, it wasn’t built around him…it should’ve been, but hasn’t been yet.

The Pels have a “big 3” and that’s a foundational step in their roster building, and the Pels have a lot of solid complimentary players, but what they don’t have has killed the team so far.

Griff didn’t surround the big 3 with 3&D guys and floor spacers, instead openly hoping that our defensive specialists would become better shooters, and they were early in the season.

He also didn’t find a backup for Zion, and I honestly am not 100% sure what he thought was going to be the plan there, presumably it was to go small and play an extra SF at the 4, since that is what Willy has tried all season, but it hasn’t worked.

Swap out one of our defensive specialists for a more well rounded 3&D player (could be high end like Bridges/Markkanen, or more mid-level Deandre Hunter/Kelly Olynyk/Cam Johnson) with some size and IMO the Pels would still be in the playoff hunt and hoping to make noise in the playoffs if guys get healthy.

Settle down. We have a top 5 roster when at 100%. Realistically who will this organization bring in that will do better than Griff?

If anything we need to change our medical and rehab staff
