I doubt this happens but would a win tonight change your perspective on this team?

Personally, I think a win tonight brings back a little hope but still feel this team has some major flaws. But yes a win tonight for me would at least get this team moving in the right direction.

In the micro, sure.

In the macro, no.

Bottom line, not a contender. I'll enjoy a win though.

Nope but the sunshine pumpers be out in full swing.

Only way people people hops back on the bus is if they somehow manage to stay out of the play in and that will require them to beat Phoenix, Sacramento, Lakers, and Golden State in the next couple of days. Seems very unrealistic at this point.

And if you have to play both GSW and Lakers twice in a span of a week ending with the play in games, they are absolutely going to outcoach Green.

The only outcome that I can see the team staying out of the playin right now:

Minnesota beats Lakers
Lakers beat GSW
And Phoenix splits with the Clippers.

In that scenario the Pelicans must win out but will be easier since GSW and Lakers will rest their players when they play us.

No. At best we’re a first round exit

Of course it would. Beating the Suns in a pressure game on the road for playoff seeding would be big and totally out of character for a team that's folded under pressure all year. I'd welcome any sign that the Pels are becoming a tougher team and that can happen with teams. Do I expect it? No way. But if they manage it, I will be super impressed!

Would probably still be angry.
Go on the road and beat a team
You just played at home.

Best a good team on the road after absolutely stinking out a 6 game home stretch.

frick this team =|

It would but expect more of the same. Up double digits in 3rd only to lose game in the end. Hope I’m wrong.

Not really. This season is basically over. The fan base would have been happy just to make the playoffs but nope we can’t have nice things. We not beating any of the play in teams. Like most have said we are stuck with Willie and Griff as Gayle isn’t getting rid of anyone. I’m just wondering is this organization does another “RUN IT BACK” again with another play in loser team

I have been very critical recently. I would give them credit if they win tonight. It’s on the road, against a team you are directly competing against, and you are in a tailspin. It would be a hell of a win. That said, I have no confidence.

letting one game change your perspective of this team shows how fickle minded you are.

I think letting a 5 game sample change your perspective on this team shows how weak minded you are. This team has played well for the majority of the season, and they're out their second best player right now.

Lets judge this team once we get BI back and the playoffs start.

My perspective is that we got a massive road win without one of our top 2 players, who we should have back in a week or so.

With a healthy BI this is easily a 50 win team in an insane western conference

They're a play in team as it stands.

Sorry, but I'm not terribly impressed by that.

The way I see it, these are the scenarios:

- If we're in the play and get bounced in round 1 - This season is an abject failure

- If we're in the play in but win 1 round - This season didn't exactly go on the right track but a playoff series win is a strong finish. I wouldn't say it's a rousing success, but it's a plus for sure

- If we finish in the top 6 and lose in round 1 - Same as directly above. Not a failure, but not a huge success. It's a plus, it would just be a very small plus IMO if it's exactly the 6 seed, as to me that is the barest of bare minimums for the season to not be a failure

Minnesota is 11-5 since KAT went down. You're supposed to do better than losing 4 out of 5 on a critical homestand, even without your 2nd best player

my judgement has been the same even when we were healthy. It’s second round or bust and I don’t see us getting there
