One month would be 13 games, and almost all of those are against playoff contenders except I think 2.

Tough schedule to start. We need to stay afloat with our crazy good depth.

If he makes his season debut against the Lakers right before Thanksgiving the roof may blow off the SKC.

All these Nationally televised games too to start the season.

This one hurts.

I think anybody with realistic expectations would expect us to stumble a bit early. Just need to hover around .500 and win the ones you're supposed to win.

does this suck? yes. But I don't think it's the end of the world or anything. I'm just thankful it's not severe. I don't know if a severe injury was ever really a possibility. But still, it's good to hear. I also don't mind the Pels being cautious with Zion. I understand it takes away from a lot of excitement going into the year though. But it's good to know we aren't taking any chances and being wreck-less with him.

Has anyone said he had a meniscal injury or having to have a knee scope?

Perhaps, he has some knee tendonitis, an MCL sprain, or some other type of injury not requiring a scope. These type of processes could require some rest without a scope.

This team was built to survive some injuries here and there. I would say the depth they have built is more impressive than anything else.

It is time for them to show why depth pays off, unlike the Demps era.

Stay near .500.

Get Zion back for the Lakers game.

At this point, I would green light Ingram to show us what he can do as the primary scorer. Obviously Jrue will still get his.

It's pretty big IMO.

We have postseason aspirations, and to get there, we'd need Zion to have a pretty good rookie campaign.

If this goes into the 15-20 games missed territory, it threatens to put a damper on the rest of the season, even when he comes back if we get of to a bad start.

This is kinda as expected. If you didn't trust random posters on a message board. Pelicans just be overly cautious which is to be expected with Zion.

So Jake has no info, yet says don't trust other info? A series of weeks to me is not simply being overly cautious.

Anyone know if this is the same knee that caused him to miss Summer League?

If he had a torn meniscus we'd know a definite timetable for his recovery and Griff would tell Woj that. No reason to hide something like that and let the fans go crazy over it. I'm thinking he strained something and they are being cautious with his return, could be a week or two if he heals fast.

You can play Ingram at the 4 in small ball lineups.

They will just have to run and outscore teams. That can really work on a limited basis in the regular season.
