This is just pure incompetence on ownerships part.

Loomis gets praised all day for being some nut-dragger when I’m reality they just didn’t like the Lakers deal. If he had any nuts he’d shut down AD, not just because of injury but more importantly to jockey for a better lottery position. The goal should be to not win a game the rest of the year.

Gentry & Demps should be fired before this weekend ends. What kind of bizarro bullshite is going on

Put him in the starting lineup, pull him 2 minutes into every game.

We need to bring back Asik to drive the tank. Greatest weapon in the arsenal.

Why would ownership just decide out of the blue to do this?

Just think about that? Does it make any sense. No. You can’t even invent a reason.

They may not be the best at their job but they aren’t stupid and they are a lot smarter than the casual fan.

This is 100% someone else telling them they have to play Davis

If you bitches are complaining about this, then you should have wished for him to get traded at the deadline.

Sitting him when he was cleared to play was not an option. This shite would have gotten really nasty and Silver and the other 29 Governers weren’t about to have this be a mess with the NBPA. They’d much rather have it just be a local mess contained to ourselves. Fans will boo in Nola.

Plus side? Maybe AD gets so hurt and pissed with all the booing that he fires Klutch

Loomis has no clue what’s going on

Gayle is the least knowledgeable owner in the league

Demps is a lameduck GM who isn’t even being allowed to call shots

Of course they are going to tell them to play Davis. Wtf are these 3 going to do about it?

On the bright side maybe he'll get some minor injury which will give the team the pretext to finally shut him down for the rest of the season.

I think Silver and players union called the nba’s NFL franchise and said you have two options:

Play him or trade him.

It would have been more than a fine. They have/had absolutely no choice here. If it would have been just a fine, they would have paid it.

This is why I try to prepare you guys for things. So you won't melt. But I guess it will happen anyway.

On the bright side, I can inform you that there is already an understood agreement with Boston and you guys will be pleased.

Now, stop melting, enjoy ADs last few games and root for ping pong balls on May 14th.

Idiotic statement.

What sort of sanctions could they have imposed on us if we refused to play him?

I am not surprised in the slightest. It also behooves the Pels to maintain a modicum of a professional relationship with Rich Paul. He will get more clients and they will be potential draftees and they could be picked by the Pels and have future negotiations.

Is AD playing in the best interest in the franchise? Probably not but playing nice with him, his agent, and the league will be better for the franchise long term in my opinion.

The man derailed our season, and renounced us as someone he could never win with, yet is willing to go to the Knicks. He has no interest in making us better. Any rational person would agree the correct call for all parties is to sit him.

No but his agent will sign more clients who will be potentially be coveted by the Pels. Best to play nice sometimes so you have a chance to better negotiate and not have agents black ball you because you did their client wrong even though the team is completely in the right.
