Adrian Wojnarowski - @wojespn: After considering the possibility of shutting down All-NBA center Anthony Davis, the New Orleans Pelicans plan to allow Davis back into the lineup for the rest of the season, league sources tell ESPN.

Not a fan of this. AD is injury prone and god forbid a Boogie injury happens to him. Huge gamble for everyone.

They prob were told by the league that they must but wonder if they’ll limit minutes and will shut him down mid March when season is over

If he injures so much as a finger, Klutch & Co. will say that’s it’s irrepairable and may be a life long injury; therefore, he’s not worth as much.

You have to play him for player relation reasons. You don’t want players thinking we did AD dirty by not letting him play. You have to do this to recruit players to stay here. At least they can’t say the Pels don’t care about their players.

I’m sure they don’t want to but they have to in order to please the league and players association. They are probably not going to play him a lot though. Maybe 20 minutes a game.

What are you talking about man. AD is the one who quit on the team. And if anything we are paying him to sit his arse on the bench and not get injured so he can sign his next contract. Pelicans have absolutely no obligation to play him. This organization just does everything wrong.

If the fans continue to boo him there is no way the Pels don't pull him off the court. It's not a good look for AD or the Pels or for any player that wants to come here in the future in free agency.
This has to be a temporary call to fan the flames of the NBA and AD's camp. Hopefully it gets so awkward after a week that all parties realize it's time to sit him

Frankly I don't know why Davis would want to play. He has just as much to lose $$wise.
BTW, everything is pointing to the NBA forcing the issue on letting him play.
