i don't understand why we shite on this deal and not the Bos deal. Is tatum really that much better than Ingram? Who's Boston's player that can match Kuzma's talent? Ball's too?

yes tatum is that much better than ingram.

If we have a decent team we can sign a few smart pieces.
no chance...look at that resulting roster

If we don’t, we can Hinkle it and use our cap space to gain assets via trades with tax teams
if thats the plan they need to wipe the slate clean, and start over

and they'd all have to be waived to take the new players. not to mention, what are the pels going to do with all this "cap relief"??
i mean the team is going to suck regardless of whatever deal we take

people complained we were going to be too good for a true rebuild.
people complaining we are going to be too bad now for a rebuild.

I don't know if the people that think the Lakers deal is ok are overrating Lakers players, or just don't understand what level of player we should want to get back in return.
Here are the 3 All NBA teams from last year. You'll notice that almost all are true Max level players.

Where exactly do the Laker's players fit in on that list? They don't.

Among New Orleans' priorities in an Anthony Davis deal - young players/picks/cap relief - Pels are determined to get back one player w/ All-NBA potential. Do Pels see that in Ingram, Kuzma or Ball? Boston's Jayson Tatum fits mold. Can Pels pry Tatum? All internal Pels questions.

Potential is the keyword. Ingram is 21. Settle down.
Posted on 2/4/19 at 3:09 pm to TigerinATL
how many of those players are 21 though?
Posted on 2/4/19 at 3:11 pm to ScaryClown
I just feel like the lakers kids arent gonna invest into the organization and they’ll be like Eric Gordon during their stay here.

no doubt...

You can say that about maybe anybody they get
Posted on 2/4/19 at 3:15 pm to cgrand
We get that, I would listen.
A “KG to the Nets” deal is appropriate here because it banks on the idea that AD is perpetually hurt and LeBron breaks down. Spending money on fixes only does so much for them without owning their firsts / draft position.

Look at the late bloomers though
you have guys like Oladipo and Jimmy butler
Giannis, Derozan & Paul George too on a smaller scale, when you look at their breakout year age in comparison to what Ball & Ingram are right now.

Yes, as is Bostons Picks.
Also Kuzma has a bum hip.
Ball is trash and would never resign here.

lets look at "cap relief"
without AD next year
jrue $26MM
hill $13MM
moore $8.6MM
okafor 1.7MM
frank 1.6MM
$51MM on a cap of $109MM and 10 open roster spots, most to be filled by the proceeds of the trade and the draft picks. why the frick do they need "cap relief", even with hill?
