Starts around the 24:45 mark.

Biggest news he says is from where he sits now, he believes that the organization has gotten Zion bought in and engaged. Completely different from his tune earlier this year.

I was expecting maybe something breaking with seeing him talking to Griff the other night, but nothing.

You can tell Zion is really enjoying himself with this team. I'd be shocked if we don't give him the extension if he completely heals from this injury. This could be an unbelievable offense to try and stop. I don't see anyone doing it with Zion added to the mix.

Saw him at the last game during the shoot around, so I believe in what Windhorsf says.

Windhorst raves about the impact of McCollum's leadership and the incredible play of BI before shifting gears to the rookies.

"They completely have kept on fighting. They have a total identity now. And they have reenergized this whole city."

He then talked about the electric atmosphere in the building during Game 4 on Sunday night and went into detail describing the video the Pelicans put on heading into the 4th quarter with Willie Green's speech and the reaction he saw from Zion Williamson:

Hopefully the Pels do get past Phoenix so more people can see this. Then the narrative will change and the story about next season will be the "Up and Coming Pels" rather than the "Vultures Are Circling Pels".

The narrative has already changed, regardless of the outcome of this series. Complete 180 by the media in less than a month

this is why you don't hope to lose the play-in so you can get another 4% chance at a top 4 lottery pick

There are what, 2? 3? players getting big minutes on this team that have ever experienced playoff basketball.

All Zion and Ingram have ever seen from New Orleans basketball fans is mostly empty or completely empty (covid) regular season games

CJ referenced what playoff basketball in New Orleans was like in the blender before he came here because he's had to play through it. These young guys needed to see it for themselves...

If Zion wants to live somewhere else and play for another team, it is purely for personal reasons. Because there is no way you can sit on that sideline during those home games and not see that we have something cooking here...

You can't say we are not a basketball city anymore. We have proven that we come out to support a WINNING team.

Come on. Supporting a team for a literal 3 game max window is miniscule in the grand scheme of actually supporting a team long term. This proves very little.

Thats not fair either. During CP3 years they had decent support all year. Few years during Anthony Davis years they had decent support all year. Problem is every time they have started to build support or excitement they shoot themselves in the foot. CP3 forcing a trade, AD forcing a trade, Firing Monty after he was finally turning things around. For first time in a long time GM, Coach and young players look to be in for the long haul. Even Zion forcing his way out wouldn't kill it. New Orleans will support basketball as long as you put something out there to get excited for.

Gets a lot easier to support a team which has an identity other than “the AAA club for the Lakers and Celtics.”

Herb and Jose are bringing the defensive identity while CJ and BI are bringing an offensive identity. And this is without Zion or the upcoming lottery pick on the court.

don't start every season off 1-10 and you'll get support.

It's hard enough to get people interested at the beginning of the season with LSU and the Saints, but when you start ever season off and you're out of the playoff picture by Christmas, you aren't going to get much support.

They will start next season off right, and they will have support all year long.

I get it. But this alone doesn’t prove much though.

Outside of the tanking years and the AD "That's All Folks" season, I can't think of a worse start to a season than this one. All the Zion shite, the losing, BI being hurt, missing out on every FA we went after was fricking terrible. No city was going to constantly support the absolute dumpster fire that was the first half of our season. The CJ trade changed everything about this squad and the city responded.

As I said, we have consistently supported a winner.

Every winning team has a full arena and fan support. Your take is stupid.
