I don't see the pels giving up zion or ingram for durant.

Ingram definitely isn't getting traded.

I doubt they get all those players.

Seems pretty crazy that people are debating whether Ingram should be traded for Kevin Durant

I’m not banging the for Durant by any means, but the Pels are instantly the West favorite if he comes here

I don't think it's crazy.

Ingram is the leader of the team.

Obviously durant is elite but he is 34 yrs old and also could leave at a moments notice.

BI, Trey or Herb, and Daniels for KD.

For the next 2-3 years that would give us a lineup of:
1 - CJ / Jose
2- Herb
3- KD
4 - Zion
5 - Jonas
Bench
Jose
Kira
Naji
Liddell
Nance

It definitely thins out the bench, but we’d be like a big market team for the next few years in terms of attractiveness for free agents. Best 3 year run in Pels history for sure if 75% healthy.

Even with that said, it’s really hard to let go of that package, but the existing team won’t win it all in the next 3 years.

Pels: KD

Nets: Kira/ Graham/ TM3/ Hayes/ Val, Temple, Naji, 5+ picks/ swaps

We can give them a starting 5 to keep for the next 5-10 years and also offer better valued picks than other teams.

CJ/ Jose
BI/Daniels
Herb/
KD/ Nance/ Liddell
Zion/ Billy

We would just need a center, backup SF, and another bench PG/SG. We would definitely be a destination for playable vet min guys. Can’t say this isn’t worth it if it’s possible with picks. We would be in contention for a while and would be ready to pay the tax. Still unlikely tho.

For example if you do that maybe we can get Dennis Schroder, Demarcus Cousins, Hassan Whiteside, on vet mins.

CJ/Jose/
BI/ Schroder
Herb/ Daniels/
KD/ Nance/ Liddell
Zion/ Cousins/ Whiteside/ Billy

Would still have 2 roster spots for vet min or rookies. It’s a solid team and would be worth the draft picks if we unload them.

I fail to see a starting 5 for the next 5-10 years there.

Kira, TM3, and Hayes are pieces that can be kept and serviceable for 5+ years. In 5 years Graham will be 32 and Val 35. They could easily still be role players then. Who knows about Naji but he’s a good player to have on their bench. We could give them back an actual team and also 6+ picks of real value which would be the main point. This is obviously hypothetical and doesn’t have a high probability of actually happening.

I’d give them 7 or 8 picks if it means we keep CJ, BI, Zion, Herb, Jose, Daniels, and add KD. This is the reason we have a war chest.

2023 Lakers swap
2024 Bucks swap
2024 Pels pick
2024 Lakers pick
2026 Bucks swap
2026 Pels pick
2027 Bucks pick
2028 Pels pick
2029 Pels swap
2030 Pels pick

We would still have:

2023 Pels pick
2025 Pels pick
2027 Pels pick
2029 Pels/ Nets swap

Doesn’t even break the bank. Only 2 other teams could offer 6 picks and 4 swaps in a 7 year span and neither OKC or Hou would compete or can offer 5+ role players as well. Just saying it’s a good strategic long term move compared to taking 4 mediocre picks and 1 max contract player.

If you wouldn't trade CJ and a couple picks for KD you're insane.

People on this board are so burned by AD and Zions big market dreams that they have overvalued what CJ brings to the table.

There's zero chance we could get KD for that price anyway, but some of yall need a reality check.

Even if you’re correct from a pure talent perspective, I would hope we wouldn’t do it out of principal…the man has come here and embraced the city and team like no one before him and for the first time since, I don’t even remember when, we are getting a positive outlook in the media and have team chemistry that is off the charts… and a big chunk of that is down to CJ

I’m not overly sentimental about pro sports. Everyone understands trades get made, stars move and things change. The real question here is do you believe KD will be better than BI over the next 4 years. Not the last 4; the next 4.

I have my doubts. Especially when you factor in team chemistry, injures and cost. Bottom line I don’t trust Durant to not come in and be a diva drama queen. Like he was in OKC, like he was in Golden State, like he is in Brooklyn.

I think he’s a declining asset with an attitude problem. I think Ingram is an ascending asset who is 100% bought in. Dance with the one that brung ya…

Hard pass. KD is a follower, was part of a disaster with the ultra talented Nets, and has only won a title when teamed with Steph.

Did you think Ingram was better than Durant last year? Just trying to understand peoples opinion. I just don’t understand peoples low opinion of KD.
