It may not be an anomaly anymore. His last 6 games:

16, 17, 18, 18, 6, 23

15/30 threes

Come back Wayne

Big Pels game tonight in the Blender. If they win, they can make a run at the three seed. It would also pretty much lock up a playoff spot.

Flock up.

This is one of the biggest games we’ve had in years all things considered.

Looking past the first round for a second, would you rather a 3 seed and face Golden State in the second round or a 4/5 seed and get to play Houston in the second round?

53% chance we get a top 5 seed according to playoffstatus.com

the stupid simulator ESPN does has us as most likely finishing 8th, although it's just a % or two higher than finishing 7th, 6th, 5th and 4th.

42 was making an interesting point on twitter. We own or can own tie breakers to teams above us with wins this week. But we've already lost tiebreakers to most of the teams below us. Basically the effects of winning or losing are amplified by the tiebreaker situation.

3: Pels
4/5 OKC and PDX
6: SA
7: UTA

Pels v UTA in second round

Pels v OKC/PDX in WCF

Pels v Bron in finals

Ship

Pels host every round.

I'll have what you're having. Make it a double.

Huge game tonight, LFG!

As crazy as it sounds I'd rather play GS/Houston than Utah in round 2. At least losing to a contender wouldn't look as bad. The AD Pels have NEVER played well in the mud. In the playoffs every possession is going to be a physical battle where AD won't get calls he should get. Boogie would have helped because AD/DC at least leads to open shots for the 2 players that aren't Jrue. Jrue/Moore/Miller/AD/DC would have a chance against anyone in the playoffs. I think the current team only has a chance to win a series against Portland and OKC.

Pels would not host Cleveland.
Portland and Utah are both playing great ball.

I think they could beat Minny with a healthy Solo.
I also think they are better than the Spurs, but would likely get outcoached and lose in 7.

I think we can take the Spurs, but they are such a wild card as long as they Pop coaching that I would be on edge the whole time.

Perfect scenario IMO is get the four seed and play OKC. I think we can take them, then I like our matchup with the Rockets better than GSW (even without a 100% healthy Curry). If we can push the Rockets to 6 games, I would consider this season a success.

The Pels are more talented than both teams assuming no Butler/Kawhi, but this team just hasn't shown me enough against teams trying on defense in an environment where the whistles don't blow as often for me to believe. The Pels could justifiably blame 2 of their last 3 losses against the Spurs and Rockets on the refs. That's what the playoffs are going to look like every game.

I would agree, and that's probably the biggest thing to gain from the playoffs this year. How to play through tough playoff defense, as well as how to play tough playoff defense.
Getting swept against GSW 3 years ago didn't really help. Winning a series would be awesome, but even taking it to a game 6 or 7 will be helpful to build on next year. These guys need to know what playoff basketball is all about if they want to continue to get better.

Good point. One thing it feels like we've seen a lot of since about 10 games before Boogie went down was steady growth from players up and down the roster. Getting beaten in 6-7 by a team like the Spurs that you think you're better than probably would be more valuable than losing in 5 or 6 to the Rockets/Warriors.

It's so much fun having so much to play for. I really hope for the future of this franchise that we host and win a series. While somewhat unlikely, it would be an amazing shock of energy into the fan base.

A 3/4 seed is likely if we win tonight and we'll be hosting a series. Wouldn't be surprised if we make it to round 2
