With the cap space available why not try and get a top caliber play like Butler,Tobias Harris, Kamba Walker?

The lineup already is full with young guys. Instead of getting a Nokia, Ross, or Lopez go ahead and sign a bigtimer with a two year deal.
Thanks for your time and support..standing by

Convincing them to come here is the difficult part.

I love Big Tymers as much as anyone, but Burdman wasn’t great when he was with the Pels.

I would love if we could sign Willie Cauley-Stein. I think he would fit our style perfectly. Then I say we get a veteran 3 point specialist to round out the team.

No thanks.

Only semi-realistic (and I use that term loosely) max guy that I'd be interested in targeting would be Klay. Not happening, but would be a great fit with his skill set, and given that we aren't competing next season, he still gives us a chance at a high pick next draft. His age is a problem, but if you can land him, who gives a frick?

Again, I have no faith that we could actually land Klay, but it would be swell. I have no interest in the guys that you listed aside from Walker.

I absolutely agree. A lot of folks on this board want to go after guys I’ve never even heard of because they think a big timer won’t come to NOLA. Have more faith in the new regime in the front office. No one knows what or who they’ll pull off. And so far so good. Balls to the wall, go get Butler or Walker!

I think we're making all the right moves, in the front office and with player choices, to start impressing people.

But it will still take 2-3 years of consistent effort and returns for free agents to start taking us seriously.

The only guy I would target for a "big 3" would be DeAngelo Russel...

His age fits perfect with Zion's timeline..

And with having Langdon, it's not out the realm of possibility to get him

Brogdon would be another one, he just doesnt fit the timeline as good as Dlo

It’s a year too soon. The biggest mistake the Pels could make is trying to win next season. We need a year to figure out what we have. The Lakers have been a dumpster fire - no one knows how good Lonzo or Ingram could be on a real team, not to mention our new draft picks, or how they’ll fit together. Now is not the time to commit to a big money star. Give Griffin a season to sort out what we need, then go after a 3rd star who’ll fit… If we need one.

I agree with the fellow Simpsons username guy. I want to take on one year deals (with assets for taking them on, hopefully) because I still don't know who Ball and Ingram are.

If Ingram shoots 37%+ on 7 attempts from 3 this season, it completely changes my opinion on what to do with this team vs. him shooting ~34% on ~4 attempts per game.

Russell would be an interesting target.

Of course, it was just reported he was open to going back to the Lakers.

Of course, it also benefits Russell to say that because he probably wants to get a bidding war going. So if we were really interested we could probably get a meeting.
