Why is Fanatics so bad at selling team merch?

There is nothing worth buying on their site, I can’t find a decent polo, pullover or Larry Nance jersey. I understand they won’t push Nike products because it cuts into their profit margins, but something has to give.

You can get ANY current player jersey from them also. You can't do retired players though.

You cannot get a Larry Nance Nike jersey, you can buy a fanatics jersey. Larry wasn’t even on the personalized roster.

I’ve only seen it offered for 2-3 big market teams. You should be able to buy any on court apparel, any player shirsey and any jersey.

I agree, and I find it irresponsible that a jersey can be sold out.
It’s a fricking shirt that you print a name and number on. And you know who’s popular. It’s just incomprehensible to me that you can’t plan for jersey sales. I was going to buy a jamaar chase and Justin Jefferson jersey for my kids, but they aren’t available. Well guess what, you lost out on $200 b/c I’m not buying it after Christmas. I’ve been looking for the last 3 weeks and neither have been available.

Yes, they are. They handle the jerseys for the nba, mlb and the nfl, and they suck, and I don’t understand why they have this monopoly.
If anything, the fact that they have this monopoly would make you think they would be awesome at what they do.
I just don’t understand why they only sell jerseys they have in stock.

So this is dumb. You can get the Larry Nance Jr Nike Jerseys through the Pelicans Team gear store which is just a rebranded Fanatics site but not directly through the Fanatics.com address.
I still have gotten lots of Nike gear from Fanatics, they run gift cards 30% off at Costco then run Nike stuff 30% off and you can stack it with 15% cash back at Rakuten and you end up with cheap gear. I got a nike T, long sleeve nike T and a nike hoodie for $70 not too long ago. But yeah, they still suck.

The fact that they never sell the gear the coaches wear blows my mind. It’s leaving money on the table. Instead they pack the site with Antigua and Cutter & Buck trash.

They offer solely in navy in two sizes. If you’re going to charge $150 for a jersey, I should be able to purchase in any template I want. I can get a big market team players jersey in at least 7 different styles, but they don’t have the product for small markets.
