It's a good trade

We're about to have 2 top 4 picks in a good draft and a literal frick ton of young assets. All three of those players have potential to be good role players at the very worst

Chill out. This team is going to fun as hell to watch the next few years.

And we don't have to watch a mediocre roster built around a boring superstar, with no personality and bones of glass. I'm excited

Well, most people want to be miserable and don’t think things through.

I’m not. This is the trade I thought would happen. Excited about Ingram and eagerly awaiting the specifics on the picks and swaps

People have a massive chip on their shoulder against LA rather than being concerned with max value. You also have people who were deluded into thinking AD for Tatum straight up would have been a good deal.

Reality is Celtics weren't offering Tatum. This was a solid, albeit unspectacular deal, that has the potential to pay off big time down the road. LeBron isn't going to play forever.

Most people that are upset started following the team after the lottery so take their opinions with a grain of salt

It’s not a bad trade at all. The market wasn’t as strong for AD for whatever reason. Clearly the best offer. Blame Rich, Lebron, Ad...doesn’t really matter anymore

This is an average trade that will take years to come to fruition. That’s the annoyance from the fanbase.

Just seems like spinning our wheels to get a few more wins.

I’d like to apologize for my earlier posts. This probably was as good as they could do.

I just didn’t think I’d be this disappointed.

If we got this exact trade from Boston people wouldn’t be melting

Because no Tatum and we didn’t land Kuzma.

I’d actually feel ALOT better had we landed Kuzma instead of Hart but it’s still not horrible I girss

Ingram has a higher ceiling than Tatum. Maybe a lower floor as well, but I think we got the better prospect.

People didn't want to bend over for Rich Paul and Lebron which I understand but with Zion these young prospects and picks which can be flipped if needed we have second life as an NBA franchise. Not many teams get that look at Orlando post Dwight or the Knicks still trying to find their way.

Most people seemed more concerned with sticking it to LA than actually getting a good deal

Help... when? You think the Pelicans were going to challenge for the West next season? Ball and Ingram are a little questionable but Ball has immediate value to other teams. The #4 can be flipped for multiple picks in this draft or the future. Then the Pelicans get additional picks at a time when the Lakers might not be competitive (LeBron will be 35 near the start of next season) and the right to swap picks with the Lakers in the semi-distant future.
