He is carrying this golden state team right now! i know it was for cap space, but was this a bad move? as of right now i say yes and i think he was only 5 million a year

But that salary dump allowed the Miller contract to come here, which was traded for Lopez.
Just explaining. No advocating either way.
No title for us with either one, and neither would be the starter here once this team gets into contention (if they do), so it is sort of meaningless.
The real comparison is Jack and some $2m center or Vasquez and Lopez. Whatever you think of the players, that is the real comparison. The contracts in aggregate are basically a wash.

Why did we let Jarrett Jack go?
Because Vasquez and Roberts do the same job just as well if not better for less than half of what Jack costs.
That and Vasquez is about 4-5 years younger than Jack. We're much better off building a team around younger players

Jack would not have done any better than Vasquez this year with the talent, or lack thereof, we had on the floor.

Like I said earlier, we were rebuilding. Completely scraping the roster and going for the draft. We wouldn't have got what we have now if we kept jack. We'd be below average and not going anywhere.

yeah but.....but jack, belli, q-pon, bayless, landry, d west are all key contributors in the playoffs!
