Man I love Trey but trade him asap if that's what he's demanding.

There's no way he brings 3 firsts and multiple prospects though.

Dumars had this situation fall in his lap but his dumbass traded the pick before he had to.

you aren't getting anything for him, and his contract is actually not that bad cap-wise. pels would have to give him away AND take back massive salary. better to keep him

What about the Thunder? They have the Clippers 1st. They have too many draft picks as is, they may be looking to cash in on some of those picks for a stud. Say what you will about TM3, he would go freaking ballistic with a PG like Shai to get him wide open catch and shoot 3s. We haven’t been able to maximize TM3, he’s a great player for the right team.

I was going right to this. Thunder potentially have 4 1sts this year, none are theirs. They could give us one or two of those, plus an additional 1st. How about this deal?

Murphy and Alvarado

For

Joe, Wiggins, Topic, and 2 1sts (2026 and 2027).

have to trade Z too

Real talk - does any still want to keep Zion?

If Zion miraculously rehabilitate his trade value into a single lottery pick you run to the podium to make that move

The issue is even if OKC did NOTHING to their squad, they have this same team for 2 more years. They did it right by acquiring assets prior, but they also sold high on guys (giddey) when they had the chance.

Drafting & developing cast offs also helps. their FO from top to bottom really did an amazing job.

I'm not sure they want to give up 2 rotation guys for essentially 1. I guess it would make their core 4 really hard to overcome for most teams (even though they already do that)

SGA-Williams-Murphy-Holmgren-Hartenstein is a really rangy starting 5

I think there are (2) "realistic" scenarios here:

#1: We trade Z/ Herb to the Hawks for our pick back and "tank"....

#2: We trade Z/ Herb to CHA for Kon (aka a "top 5 pick") to pair with Queen/ Fears

I'd legit trade Z/ Herb for Kon straight up just to have all 3 of Queen/ Fears/ Kon and just fricking rebuild already.

I will not convince myself this will ever happen but I will not stop trying to talk it into existence.

Throw in DD and I’d be down.

This is going to sound contradictory. I want to rebuild, but I don't want to tank. I don't want to watch us bottom out for the next couple of years losing on purpose. So I don't want our pick back and I don't want to be picking in the top 5. I do not think that is a smart rebuilding plan.

It is the smartest rebuilding plan. You don’t half-arse a rebuild. You’re either all-in or you’re not. If you’re playing for meaningless wins, you’re not serious about a rebuild.

They sold low on Giddey. He is looking really good for the Bulls.
