Yeah I like to rant. Why can't he do this all the time it makes the team so inconsistent.

To be fair, you get more old man boners than he has good games.

All the jrue hate has been warranted thus far. He played great tonite, even though he did absolutely nothing to help close the game out, although I expect AD or Cousins to do that. Hard to do it if AD doesn't get the ball more and cousins takes all the shots though.

No one wants to hate on jrue. Pretty sure everyone would love if he played like this all the time.

It's games like this that show you how good he can be that make everyone irritated when he goes 3-7 for 8 points in the next game.

Spot on, teddy. If you’re posting on this board you’re pulling for jrue and aware that he’s capable. That’s why you see so much frustration,

He has had 3 games like this this year.

No one is going to knock him for having another one. The issue continues to be whether we will get to see another outing like this before another 4-6 games pass by.

Consistency is Jrue’s issue. Games like this night are why people are frustrated with him, because nights like that show us what he has always had the potential to be. Which is why it is frustrating to see how he plays the other games in between the nights like yesterday.

I’m going to copy myself from another thread on Jrue. In a world where Jrue is neutral to positive he is putting up a minimum of 18/5/5 while playing good defense. In that world 10 points is a bad game for him where he does suck that night. But since he's averaging 18 ppg that means he balances out the 10 and 12 point nights with nights where he scores in the 20s. We've only gotten 2 of those this season while we've gotten 5 games of 11 or less and in 2 of those he scored 6 or less. Until he balances the scales people will be right to be upset with him.

This game helps but the scales still aren’t balanced.

first of all, that ain't true. There are folks that hate that we resigned him.

Second of all, Holiday is a scorer. Once we have Rondo and Nelson purely running the point, Holiday may end up being an all-star 2-guard. He'll be a 3rd option scorer; the Pels are going to stretch out every team they play. It's going to be fun...

I never get the point of these threads. Jrue sucks for many games, people rightfully are angry. He has a great game, thread started saying lol where y’all at now.

People won’t bitch when he plays well. I would understand a call out thread if people would bitch after a good game but that is not the case.

In conclusion, you suck old man

He didn't even hit that in his all-star year. He's at 15/6.5/5 so far this year while shooting .230 from 3. If he's shooting at his career 36% instead, he'd be up to 16.5 ppg.

However, the issue is that he has been both inconsistent and inefficient. His true shooting is .517 and his D has been occasionally lock down, but very inconsistent without Hill in the lineup. We have to hope that when Rondo gets back (then Jrue will always be playing with Nelson or Rondo) that his efficiency gets better.

When you see him attack the basket he looks so good at it you wonder why he doesn't do it every time. I think the short answer is his handle isn't good enough for that kind of consistent penetration. Hopefully Rondo can help him get more opportunities close to the basket.

A full healthy Pels squad (including Hill) with a tweak or two, this team is League Pass worthy. Like gather your boys and watch on a Tuesday worthy.

I expect his efficiency to get a good boost when Rondo gets back and moves Jrue off ball. That's going to free him up for cuts going to the rim that Rondo and Boogie will set him up for. Boogie isn't quite the passer Jokic is, but I'm excited to see the Boogie-Jrue connection like we saw last year with Jokic and Gary Harris under Finch.

Jrue is too inconsistent and seems to always slow down the game. When he does score, he dominates the ball for half the shot clock trying to make 80 slow arse moves. He just doesn't fit this team.
