Very clear that one decent year in Washington was a fluke
Tried to tell this board that when the trade went down. I think the crux of my argument was more money and more years for a dude who's "career season" was still not as efficient as Brandon Ingram's last season in New Orleans.

We need to trade anyone with an ounce of value. This is a 4-5 year rebuild. This team cannot shoot, rebound, or defend. You have to burn the roster to the ground and build it back up.
Will Dumars do that? Absolutely not. Mark my words he’s going to trade more 1sts this offseason to try and improve this roster

that is a very, very weak defensive frontcourt

That's too long. I think a solid rebuild is at most 3 seasons. Our problem is we super sucked the last two years. So if we start now, that's 5 years of horrible basketball, at best. Then there is still no guarantee the rebuild will work out.
We have the elements of a competitive team. If we could somehow make a cohesive unit and get rid of guys that don't fit, we could be ok. The problem is that people are always so fixated on championships or bust. I just want to be decent for awhile. It's been so long..

the argument? Probably looks like
- Poole has no trade value.
- We’re not getting cap space.
- Zion is still better than anything we’d get back now and teams don’t appear willing to move much draft capital for him.
- TM3 quietly continues to improve (again)
- Fears will be 20 and knows what a year of nba physicality looks like. Dudes probably the future of this franchise with TM3
- Murray looked healthy.
My opinion:
It makes no sense to have Murray and Fears here. Murray’s gotta go. Hes not a #1. Fears needs to be given the keys to the car along with TM3. Anything less will stunt his development.
I could go either way on Z. I think he’s got more gas than people believe. Dude looked like he was playing not to get hurt this year and why wouldn’t he? We suck. We brought Willie back. Etc etc. idk when he wanted to be electric athletically, he could be, so that means the athleticism is still there.

Have you thrown any trade scenarios out there that are realistic or are you just trolling people who are accepting the team might be stuck cause people think we have moves to make, when in reality we have near no flexibility without mortgaging more of the future.

There is a report Zion might be here to stay forever and ever. It’s ridiculous.

And because of that, like a moron, you're trying to talk yourself into Zion having some phantom extra gear that he has never shown in 7 seasons.
YEAR 8 WILL BE DIFFERENT!!!

We need to wait for them to age out or teams to break up a bit and strike in 5 years
We could be waiting a decade for SA, Houston and possibly OKC to age out….
