I’m absolutely confused. Langdon is gone, Borrego probably not far either so there goes our offensive coach. Just wondering WTF this team even wants to be. Willie obviously hates a traditional 5 like Jonas so do we find a stretch 5 and give up rebounding for athleticism and shooting? Willie is a really solid defensive coach but he’s lost on offense. CJ is the most professional player in the league and he even saw Willie was lost on offense last year. What do y'all think we are going to attempt to look like next year?

Also a side question. What would it take to trade for Walker Kessler? I think he’s one of the most underrated players in the league and he’d be a great starting 5 but again, it’s all about what they want in their 5.

I mean, maybe wait until the offseason is over?

I mean, at least wait until after the Finals where teams can start making trades

Lot of folk are confused, including myself. We know the identity Coach Green wants to craft. Long team of versatile wings, playing with pressure and pace. To the organization's credit, they acquired good players (Tre, Herb, Dyson, Naji, Hawk), that fit that mode. However, as has been discussed ad-nauseam, a lead facilitator and defensive anchor that complements a wing-heavy team has been horribly mismanaged. Team appears to be focused on acquiring a lead facilitator and defensive anchor, but the question is with their track record (front office) do you trust them in adding the right players at those positions.

The identity is the same as it has been since Chris Paul left. You have no high level half court creator so you must be good defensively to generate easy offense in transition. In shape Point Zion with shooters changes that a little, someone like Trae would change that even more and maybe even shift you to where the half court offense was as or more important than the defense.

THIS TEAM HAS NO IDENTITY!
They haven't had a real identity since the CP3 Era.
Monty tried his best to model the Hornets like Pop and The Spurs, Alvin Gentry tried to model the Pels after those Steve Nash/Amare/Marion Suns teams and the Warriors, SVG had his own philosophy and tweaked it a little to fit the personnel, but his way of coaching didn't fit with the players. Willie is just modeling this team after his Coaching mentor Monty.
I been saying for awhile this team needs it own identity and stick to it. Stop chasing trends and other coaches/teams philosophies.

I love Jonas but let him walk;
Keep the Lakers pick this year - draft Isiah Collier if he's magically there;
Then take Yves Missi at 22.

Trade Ingram to Detroit for Duren, pick 5, and whatever else (player or pick);

Take your pick at 5: Ron Holland, Dalton Knecht, or someone else who we have our eye on that falls (this is the part that scares me) - just take Holland.

Jose/Collier/CJ
CJ/Hawk/Knecht*
Murph/Herb/Holland*
Zion/Duren
Duren/Missi

And we still have our future picks plus whatever we received pick-wise from Detroit. We'll most likely need another veteran piece to make it all stick - see who's available at the deadline and go get them.
