re: What do you think our record would be today if Dejounte had been healthy all year?

The have won 11 games in their last 20 games. They won 10 games in their first 46 games.
I think firing Willie Green very early or before the season and then having Herb and Deonte healthy would have made this a totally different season.

I think we're currently 30-36 with Dejounte, which would be right on the tail of the 10th seed.
I can go back and think "damn it'd be nice to have a PG" to star the year
A couple of the OT losses early on (I think memphis, SAS), a few early games where we lacked a true facilitator/closer (Minny and SAS x2 come to mind). and that 9 game loss streak I think we break a few.

I like how you make up a trade to get Jaylen Brown and act like that is a real possibility. Teams have to want our players for us to get other players.
At best we will move Zion, Poole or Herb for some shooting or to get back into the draft.
Trey fits any timeline bc of his shooting. You don't trade the only 3pt shooter we have
I feel like this is the team we are going to see next season. I am not expecting much this off-season.

This team needs better C play but if you tell me we have our HC figured out for next year and the roster is actually fully healthy, they are a playoff team. Some will say that’s not good enough to be shooting for 7-10 seed and to blow it up, maybe. I wouldn’t necessarily hate giving the roster another chance but there’s definitely a risk and at some point if it’s not going to work you have to shop Dejounte, Zion, and Herb. Those 3 players could bring back some pretty good assets to build around TM3, DQ, Fears, and Bey. HC is #1 priority, tired of this carousel of failures.

Ah the classic "Take a bunch of our mediocre players for your potential MVP player." Those trades happen all the time.

Assuming full health and Borrego from the jump, I have no problem believing this team could have won 45 games +/- and be in the play-in or eke out the 6th seed.
They have roster problems--so do most mid-level teams--but they also have talent and a finishing 5 of Murray/Jones/Murphy/Bey/Williamson will beat a lot of teams.
I also don't see a huge issue with the "timeline." Bring the young guys off the bench. It's better for them and better for the Pels for them to get 20 minutes a night and grow into their roles. By year three the core would still be young enough and Fears + Queen would be ready to contribute to winning, playoff basketball.

Don't be fooled by the Pels racking up wins against teams who are literally trying to lose games. Even with Dejounte all season, the Pels are still a lottery team without a first-round pick.

Dejounte’s injury last season really was tragic for the team. I would have really liked to see if an Ingram/Murray duo could have worked. You aren’t winning the west with that, but those two plus a cast could have been a fun run of reasonably competitive basketball and playoff trips for a few years.

Y'all are insane.
Borrego has coached the majority of this season and this is the healthiest Zion has been... still suck.

I agree. This isn't going anywhere. And no way in hell does Boston do that trade. They hang up on Dumars.
I mean, to the OPs question: Maybe a bit closer to the play-in? How close are they now?

Disagree with you, no one hangs up on Dumars, they just keep him on the phone until they fleece him.

I think Trey Murphy, Dejounte Murray, Bey, DQ, and Fears are very very good players. I do not give a singular frick if you disagree.

If we had our 1st round pick, we would have won about 5 of those past 20 game, we'd be tanking too.

What you're saying is given us normal/average injuries, and we're likely not a playoff team.

2 of them are rookies. Pretty bad out of context take there Shelly boy. Go back into your hidey hole.

Do you not understand why that's a problem considering the contract status of the rest of the pieces on this roster?

My bad for interpreting that exactly as how you wrote.
