One of the worst things that could happen to us is the Bucks getting a title.

It’s not a good look when players have to leave your organization to win titles

Not really. I could argue that a title gives the team a "disease of more" complex that gets role players asking for more money.

What would be worse than them winning a title is them constantly being in contention. That can be subverted by them winning a title now and the org not being able to pay guys, then they don't win another title creating discontent.

That's a little vague Chad. Jrue left a very young Pels team to join a title contending team with a top 5 player in the league in the east.

You can dress it however you want. Point remains very firm.

Giving it the proper narrative isn't dressing it however I want. Unless you expected the Pels to be on the same level as the Bucks this year.

Jrue makes a trend if he were to win one.

depends.

say he wins with milwaukee, they can't afford anyone else and their role players leave.

he may feel like he can leave after a few years of not contending because he won a ring for milwaukee already.

Same here. Nobody else I care to root for, so I'm going with my all time favorite Pel.

Nah not really. I listened to his pod with JJ and came out of it not liking Jrue as much tbh.

I didn’t come out of hating him or anything, but it gave me enough pause to not vehemently root for him moving forward.

Also, it would be more beneficial for us as a franchise if the Bucks implode.

AD already lucked into a Mickey Mouse ring the season after he left. If Jrue also went and won a ring immediately, that isn’t great for keeping a guy like Zion around long term if the last 2 stars that force their way out go on to win a ship immediately. Zion needs to know that it isn’t that simple and it can end possibly badly as well.

Why? Because he asked for a trade?

I reckon it's the opposite. The sooner they win a title, the better for us, considering our Bucks picks don't start till 2025.

Desire dampens once the title is won. Giannis might even retire early

AD has complete checked out because he got his title already

No, the trade request actually had nothing to do with it. It was the overall content of the pod/interview. Too much to go into tbh, I’m just not completely enamored by the guy anymore. Just a personal decision on my part. I’m not going to bag on him or tell anyone that they should feel differently.

Love Jrue and will always root for him.

However, I don’t care who wins. As long it’s not the Lakers.

That's my thought too.

If they don't win one, Giannis likely leaves after this next contract or during.

If they win 1 in his final season or 1 before final season of this contract, maybe he stays. But if they win one this season, then never get close again, Giannis can say he delivered MIL a title, and they're not in a good position to compete and potentially be content with leaving at that point.

Was disappointed in him for wanting a trade. Could have been part of building something really special with Zion and Ingram.

We’d definitely still be playing this year.
