It's definitely time to start rooting for certain teams. I'm now a huge OKC fan, for example, as they are our best hope of keeping the Lakers out of the play-in.

Right now, I'm still hoping for a sprain or some issue that prevents Davis and LeBron from playing many of their remaining games, as the Lakers are currently tied with Toronto for the 7th-worst record in the league. With a little injury luck, we'll still end up with a top-ten pick from the Lakers.

So, root for ORL, IND, TOR, WAS, and especially root for OKC, UTA, and POR. Every win by one of those teams improves our odds for a good pick.

Edit: I decided to simply extend this thread for another week, since there aren't any games during the break.

Edit 2: I am simply extending this thread another week. There aren't many posts, so it's not like this thread is getting too long. No one cares anymore, evidently. I certainly struggle to care.

Looks all the best buyout guys are going to flock to Phoenix.

Almost feels scripted by the NBA, have a terrible owner with a huge scandal, send all the players there to try to save face. Nobody ever wanted to go to Phoenix until this Sarver shite came out

Phoenix has been a solid market for a long time even with Sarver. They've had a ton of successful iterations since the Barkley era. The Jason Kidd era, the Steve Nash era, this one, and other smaller ones.

Buyout guys want rings and the Suns are one of the favorites and need depth with available roster spots.

They have never had guys that demanded trades to them outside of Paul. The older NBA didn’t have the divas they have today, those guys didn't care where they played as long as they got their check they were fine.

The NBA has received a complaint from the Golden State Warriors against the Portland Trail Blazers and the league has launched a review of potential misleading by the Blazers regarding Gary Payton II's status, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

Sounds like you're saying today's players care more about winnings and the old players only cared about money

Which era are you referring to?

Grizz/Celtics tipping on ABC if you’re looking for something to watch before the SB starts. I’d take Boston -3.5 if I wasn’t a Grizz fan. Kennard available to make his debut.

This game has been really good Back and forth one. Two completely different teams. They’ve only scored 26 points in the paint and Grizz have scored 60+ in the paint. I have to watch long stretches on mute because of Doris Burke. Looks like a playoff atmosphere on TV. Good warm up for SB.

I'd STILL trade "you know who" for a package involving Mikal Bridges...and I'm not sure I even need the "package" part.

Ime Udoka out in Boston

Joe Masulla named permanent coach and given a contract extension

Not gonna lie, today I learned that Udoka was still on the payroll in Boston and Mazulla was only an interim coach

you know who needs to get back on court to tempt other gms.
for bridges:
memphis offered a gsw first, three memphis firsts and santi aldama.
aldama is pretty good. can shoot from out, pretty slick around the rim, rebound and defend.

Watching the Bucks tonight after watching the Nets last night...if we could somehow get Brook Lopez & Mikal Bridges on this team...I'd take my chances vs any other team in the NBA.

Abu Dhabi and Qatar are looking to buy NBA teams.

Not sure if that would be good for the sport, but they would be able to throw money around like GS does every year no matter what market they’re in.

With the way these franchise prices are skyrocketing, I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone not be able to sell a team before long.
