I’ll stick with fantasy until October. Next season is another play in year at best and I’m tired of that

I think you're reaching.

Just natural since he has been actually playing without getting hurt. People want to see zion do well.

Shams has been Zion’s media mouthpiece for the last 3 years or so. He has never been too critical of him. Usually he just provides injury updates for Zion on the Pat Mac Show. He’s definitely provided info that none of our local guys have time and time again over the past 3 years. The Pat Mac show is always interested and asking about him, so Shams will generally share a bit of what he knows.

I hope Zion forces his way out tbh. Because unfortunately, Griff is probably still going to be employed by the Pels next season and he will never get it. He generally waits until assets have zero value and then trades them.

We should probably trade Herb, Trey and Zion this offseason if we are being honest with ourselves. That’s our core trio, but we aren’t going to win anything with them. We might as well reshuffle the deck and try a different equation and sell all of those guys high while we still can.

We basically run it back every season with a slight reshuffle and it’s undeniably brought the franchise backwards over a 6 year period.

Zion has scored under 20 points less than 30 times in his career, only 11 times before last season. In that same time frame, he scored over 30, 30 something times (before the slow start last season and the short minutes this season). So that was 30+ games over 30 and only 11 games under 20 for 4 seasons.

He has also only shot under 50% under 20 times in his career.

Wtf are you talking about bro? He has literally been one of the most consistently great players since day 1. You are off as hell with the "only 8 times per year" bullshite.

Some more stuff coming out about several teams will be making a run for Zion this offseason

Only places id want to see him is Golden State (they would be the best team on the West with Zion and a solid big), Houston would be ridiculous with Zion, and Phoenix if they decide to keep Durant and pair him with Zion, that would require moving Booker though. I think they would be able to sign some good free agents if they went forward with KD and Zion.

You're really going to come in hot and act like Zion isn't the most unreliable player in franchise history? Even when he's "healthy," there's a good chance he's fat.

Of course there are, he's playing like a star player and there are more teams than stars. The problem is, outside of Phoenix doing a Zion for Booker swap, I don't see many potential options for the Pels where they can convince themselves they don't need to blow it up after trading Zion.

Griff won't have enough leash to blow it up, and even if they fire Griff, the new POBO they hire would be the one that tells Benson the best story on how to fix the Zion era.

Fat or in shape, he has been an automatic 20+PPG on 55+% every time he's on the floor.

We don't get 13 points games or shooting under 40% EVER. Meaning z he is consistent as frick when he plays. You said some bullshite about 8 games per year when it's literally like 90% of the games he has played he's been dominant. The dude DOES NOT have bad games, EVER.

Stop pump faking my guy.

So, 8 games a year is about right when you factor in his availability

I’m willing to bet his “8 games a year” comment has nothing to do with scoring 25 ppg at 50% or more. It’s probably more tied to the overall effort. Rebounding, defending on ball, defending off ball, consistently sprinting instead of loafing.

We may have gotten more than 8 games of that Dukish Zion this season and maybe 2 other seasons. But there are definitely years we got less than 5 of those types of games from him due to injuries, conditioning, Z not wanting it, etc.

Z solely scoring 25 points on left handed layups and 65% FT’s isn’t a high level winning player in the nba. He’s also got to defend, rebound, and hustle to actually be a Giannis level building block that you might be able to catch fire and win a championship with. And he’s got to try even harder than Giannis because he is 5 inches shorter and has 8 inches shorter of a wingspan than Giannis.

No, he isn't. He easily could have been, and maybe he still can be

When he’s on the court he is 1 of 1. No other player like him. He’s a PG in a power forwards body without an outside shot, but yet can’t be guarded 1 on 1 by anyone in the league.

He needs an athletic big and 3 spot up shooters around him. And those shooters and big need to be good defenders. That’s the formula to winning with Z. He’s your PG.

I don't care if he plays or not. But that can't seriously be a reason that he misses a game..

Now we have a chance to lose to the flailing Spurs. Let’s go.
